TKRYSTINA - Welcome to the team and congratulations on losing 10 lbs. That's fantastic! You should be proud of yourself for such a great beginning!
I'm one of two primary caregivers of my mother, who is 89 and has severe balance problems, "mild" dementia, high blood pressure, and peripheral artery disease. Believe it or not, my mother still lives alone, but the other caregiver is my oldest sister who lives a "stone's throw" from Mama. I feel a part of my weight gain is definitely due to the stress of several family situations, one of which is my mother. I emotionally eat (I'm a member of the Emotional Eaters team and the Dealing with Depression team, as well). I'm working on finding other ways to comfort myself than food. It's a bad habit I learned when I was young.
I think it's wonderful that you're starting the 28 day challenge that goes along with reading The Spark. Post often and let us know how it's going. I haven't done that and would love to hear more about your experiences with it.

I help take careof my mom who has cancer 2 different ones, arthritis, & a lot of other health issues. I turned 50 in January & on May 14th I hit new high weight of 281 lbs. I have lost just 10lbs so far. The old me would have just given up a long time ago & gained even more weight. On Monday I will start my 28 day challenge that goes along with reading The Spark.
