Welcome to the team! Congrats on the pregnancy and your awesome weight loss! I agree that its really hard to go from a weight loss lifestyle to pregnancy. Overall I try to look at food as energy for me and the babies and not focus on the numbers on the scale. I hope you're able to keep up with your active lifestyle and have an easy, healthy pregnancy! Good luck!

Welcome and congratulations on both the pregnancy and the weight loss! I'd recommend that you buy the book "Exercising through your Pregnancy" by James F. Clapp. It's a research-based look at exercising during pregnancy, and it's very encouraging (and great to quote when anyone gives you a hard time about exercising while pregnant). Good luck!!

I'm in this for the rest of my life. Why rush?

Welcome to the team! Incredible job with your weight loss!!

I'm no doctor, but from what I've read & been told, as long as you are not a high risk pregnancy, there is no reason you cannot continue your exercise regimen. Although, first trimester woes may not let you, even with the best intentions {fatigue & morning sickness}. emoticon

Wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy!!

Hi my name is Laura and I just found out last week that we are expecting our second child in april 2012. Over the past year and half I have lost 130lbs with the help of spark people. I am hoping to keep weight gain throughout my pregnancy low and I plan on staying as active as possible. Before Baby I was doing 30-60mins of cardio 5-6 days a week and 45 mins of strength training 3-4 times a week. I would like to at least keep up with cardio everyday and modify my strength training as I get further along. Although I am excited about this pregnancy I'm having a hard time transitioning from 1200-1500 calories to maintenance intake. I've played around with babyfit but personally i like spark people way better. Im glad that there is a spark team that i can find support through to help me stay fit throughout this pregnancy!
