I'm Andrea, a 40-year-old woman who has decided to finally put herself first even though there's plenty to keep me focused elsewhere. I am sick and tired of being overweight. I'm sick and tired of talking to myself with loathing and regret. I'm sick and tired of giving up on myself. If you will check out my blog, you will see that I've finally decided it's time to be selfish.

My goal is to lose 12 pounds by Sept 30, 2011. I'm behind in my weekly pace, but am not giving up. Better to fall short of a goal than to give up on it altogether!!!

I am glad to be a part of this team!

I'm Gina - trying to get the right track again.. i started back a few months ago and did really well.. but for some crazy reason I fell off that wagon and I'm back on.. I want to be health.. I dont want to be the mom that sides on the side while her kids play..
My goal for this year is to lose about 50-75 pounds..

I am am determined to reach my goal this year. I just want to be fit and healthy, I will be 56 in few days and have been trying for 5 years to get to a healthy weight to no avail, I need some support to get this done my friends say they are going to support me and do it with me and they bail after a week or two, But I will do it this time I am sure.

Hi...I've been around about a week now and I really like sparkin'. My name is Erin...I am 52 and work full-time for Kroger. Right now I am at 203....My yoyo range is from 135 to my heaviest (last week) of 208.
My goal is around 150.....but I need to go slow this time.
I am pretty high strung and tend to overthink everything and sometimes get a little down in the dumps but I try to be as positive a person as I can. I come from a pretty whacked out family and prefer just normalcy and even boredom. My husband and I have worked very hard to keep the drama out of our lives.
I've just recovered from 2 orthopedic surgeries and one broken arm...I know, right? What a klutz.
But my mind is in a REALLY GOOD PLACE right now and I am grateful to be there and I am also glad to be here at Sparkpeople.

We have about 8 new members since the beginning of Jan. Pls say a little about yourselves here.

I'm 58 and have been fighting the weight battle for 10 years. The last time I checked I had lost 12 lbs. Woo hoo:) Every lb. counts for one's overall wellbeing--physical, spiritual, emotional, etc.
