Welcome Heather, I agree with Joyce. You have so much on your plate, and you have come to the right team to get support for yourself. My three children are now grown, but I was in your same position when they were little, being 20 months apart each. Maybe knowing that someone else made it through will help you to know you will also. God bless you, and keep us posted. Ravyna

to our Team! You have a number of stressors (job change, new baby, older toddler learning new things all the time, health?, relationship with hubby?) All of these things 'eat up' the neurotransmitters (chemicals) in the brain.
This time of year with less sunshine...the after Holiday droop...All of that contributes to depression.
The trick is knowing when you have crossed the line from 'normal' stress to 'need a doctor's intervention and medication' Depression. Prayers for you Heather.
Welcome to the group. I am new to the group too but I understand the stress of colicy babies and depression. Lord, please reach out to this pecious Mom and give her strength and patience and lift her spirits and help her to feel you with her. In Jesus name I ask these things.
Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. óLao-Tze
I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Heather and I am the 42 year old mother of a beautiful 21 month old girl and 5 month old boy. While the children have been the biggest blessing I could ever POSSIBLY ask for (the answer to all my prayers) I have also discovered that the stresses of having 2 babies (one EXTREMELY colicky still) and becoming a stay at home mom for the first time, has exacerbated my already severe depression. Many days I am fine but when it gets "dark" it is BAD!! This seems like an extremely supportive and kind group of women. I look forward to getting to know you all and see how we can pray with and encourage each other. Blessings to you all.
