Please make sure you have beans, nuts and grains. You should use the nutrition tracker to make sure you are getting enough protein. That is the only down side to being a vegetarian.
There are some good soy-based products. MorningStar is one brand. You can use the granules that mimic ground beef to make meat balls and tacos. Your family wouldn't even notice the dfference because of the spices. Also you can make smoothies with silken tofu. Enjoy.
(My son was a vegetarian from the age of 16.)

You cant start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

Yes, I'm eating dairy and once in a while a bite or 2 of meat if I crave it. I've bought a couple of vegetarian cookbooks but I've made some changes to meat dishes and now eat them minus the meat.

Are you eating dairy? I am not a vegetarian, but choose not to eat much meat. I do eat seafood, and eggs, milk, and cheese. There are some great vegetarian recipes, and much of the time I don't miss the meat anyway.

Hi, have just started trying to eat vegetatian. I've felt better, with more energy than I've felt in years. I find myself reading all the nutritional labels in te store and putting alot of things back because even if it is in the healthy aisle it isn,t as healthy as its claim. I still get hungry for meat once in a while but only take a few bites. Lots and lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Still have to cook meat for my family but have found ways to sneak in extra vegetables.
