You can do this!! It probably won't come off as quickly as after you had surgery....or if you were 15 years younger. But it WILL come off!! Just remember - Baby steps will get you to the same place as giant leaps as long as you are going in the right direction!!! I lost 60 pounds when I was 48 and two years later I am struggling with gaining some of that back - but I know I can re-lose it - perhaps just not as quickly as last time. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!

Like Cindy said, be sure to use your fitness & nutrition tracker. Your new best friends will be water & the Alabama Team, of course. By tracking your food & exercise, it will make you more aware of what you are putting into your body & what you are burning. You will have days when you go over your calorie count & days when you don't even meet it. Just hang in there. Don't give up. Remember, each day is a new day. If you fail today, tomorrow is new. Hang in there & you can do this.
Winston Churchill commanded his troops to "SINK the Bismarck", and they did, so for Christmas we will sink the bismarck by not over-indulging. Yes I will indulge but with Gods help, "I WILL NOT OVER-INDULGE"! SETASIDE1@YAHOO.COM

I really want to lose weight but just don't think its possible over 50. I need to lose 100 pounds. I had gastric bypass over 10 years ago and it worked for me then because I would certainly be dead if I didn't have it. I lost a lot of weight but now I have gained a lot of weight back now and know I must do this on my own without any surgeries. I lost it so fast back then and know now because of my age it will come off so slow and that is so hard for be to be motivated by. I will try and hope and pray I wont give up because I am so unhealthy!!!! The picture I posted on my sparkle page is of course of healthier times! I hope it motivates me!
