Welcome Nicole! So glad you joined us! I am so sorry for your many losses, and commend you for being so positive going forward. My 2nd born son was stillborn, and then I immediately got pregnant again and had a miscarriage 12 weeks later, and now looking back, I guess that was one of my heaviest weights, and it was definitely due to emotional eating! We are here to help each other with our getting healthy goals! Wishing you much success on your journey!

Hi Nicole and welcome. My advice, take it slow and don't try to do or change to much at once. Each week add a new "habit". Like drinking all your water, or adding an extra fruit and vegetable everyday or being active for 30 minutes a day. There are a lot of wonderful people on this site and th site itself is fantastic. So take it slowly, this is a lifestyle change and commitment, not a short term fix and diet.Good luck with your goals.

Welcome to the team Nicole and to Sparks! Take your time looking around so you do not get so over-whelmed. Give a shout out if you need any help. Good luck to you!

Janet

Goals:
1 - Do a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio a day, plus 15 minutes of strength 3 times a week
2 - stay within my calorie range

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

I am not on a diet - I am living a healthy life

Hi All,

My name is Nicole and I just joined Sparks today with a little bit of fear and trembling, coupled with a little bit of excitement and anticipation of this new phase in my life. I have never been super slim through out my life and I don't strive for that look, however, it would certainly be nice to be confident in a swimming suit instead of always trying to cover up my belly fat or my thunder thighs.

In the past two years, I have had 5 miscarriages and each pregnancy but one, I gained 5 pounds in each. Being an emotional eater as well did not go well for me. So I ended up gaining 20 pounds within 4 total years and I find that if I keep gaining it could be a health hazard and I have to do something about it. So my goal is to loose 20 pounds and I hope to be able to develop a healthy lifestyle as well in my nutrition and fitness.

I am not quite sure how the website works but I will find out soon and I am excited to be a part of this team.
