If anybody is doing or starting the p90X LEAN (or other) program - let's buddy up! We could send private message and/or post in blogs about the workouts and results!
I'm in phase 1, starting week 2.

I've never done the whole program, tried classic version a couple of times, but never made it to the phase 3. I think my record so far was phase 2 week 2 or something...
So I'm trying to beat that and maybe, MAYBE actually finish the whole 90 days

Let's come together!

I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Is there anyone here that needs a P90X Workout Buddy via Skype or Oovoo? If you have accountability issues...like myself......virtual workout partners is the next best thing :-) If interested let me know. I have both P90X and P90X Plus :-)

foods like yogurt and oatmeal i couldn't touch when i was pregnant! the thickness of them made me dry heave too! haha!

i have thought about being a consultant for just about everything you can be one for. i just never did it! probably never will.

i was doing good today until we stopped for ice cream tonight! i did get fat free soft serve though so that was a little better! still not working out yet. but feel good. i had a great dinner. 4oz of grilled chicken, corn on the cob and pasta salad made with garden pasta, different types of peppers, black olives, red onions and light italian dressing. soooooo yummy! and about 550 cals!

HA. I dry heaved this morning from the smell of yogurt that I had to put down the garbage disposal. I was so thankful I hadn't eaten yet! (But now I'm at work, starving. Oops)

I did Chest and Back on Sunday - that felt good! Then last night I went to a Tupperware event...and I ended up signing up to be a consultant. HA. I think my hubs is worried that I will be my only customer!

Still haven't come up with a schedule - but I will.

feel good. changed up my breakfast and lunch today. it was painful eating oatmeal this morning cause it makes me wanna gag but i did it cause it is good for you! i made a sandwich on an arnolds sandwich thin with hummus, cucumber and red onion. it was pretty darn good!

i haven't worked out since thursday and i feel good. i am giving my body some time off. maybe i do workout too much too intensely. so we will see what happens when i lighten it up a little.

have you made your workout schedule yet?

ahhhhh....we went to Friendly's for dinner last night and I just ate and ate. I think I needed to. I felt better! I didn't work out. I think I needed a day.

This morning...since L let us sleep until 9am....I decided that I am changing everything. I am stopping this round of P90X. I am going to workout 4 days a week...mainly cardio only. I am setting my weight loss goal for 10 pounds over the next 13 weeks....little by little. And I am going to focus on the fact that I am eating healthy and exercising regularly and that is very healthy for my body and it might not matter what the "number" is. I told my hubby the plan and got teary eyed cause it is not what I want to do. I want my body to respond to P90X like it did last year but for some reason that is not happening. So I am taking a different out look on it now.

I also think I am going to take this next week off too. I'll do more family time in the evenings. Also, I picked Sat and Sun as workout days and next weekend I am going to visit my friend in NY who just had a baby and probably won't work out next Saturday. So I will start next Sunday. Maybe I'll throw a day or two of X-Stretch in for stress relief this week. Maybe then I can get my mind back on track and get done what I want to do!

Sorry for the rough day.

Have you looked at your bmr? The formula that Smurfette has on her blogs is useful...

3 days of plyo is a ton. When is your next rest day?

I hope that tomorrow is a better day!!

really not having a good day today. it was so much cooler today. i had one bad eating thing where i ate the rest of the cake i had made for memorial day weekend.

with my plyo workout tonight....i sucked. i am not sure why. was it the cooler temp? that i am tired? that plyo 3 days in a row is a bad idea? was i not trying? i burned 110 cals less then yesterday and that is really bothering me. i am not losing any weight either...in fact, i maybe gaining. so i am getting really upset and really discouraged. i track everything calorie i put in my mouth and i burn about 3400 calories a week so ...do the math, i should be losing a pound a week. i have lost 3 in 8 weeks. i am not used to results like that....i lost 18 pounds in the 26 weeks i did the program last year. now i am getting pissed that i let myself gain the 12 pounds back that i did. i wanna go to mcdonalds and just eat!

i don't know what is going on. i have the one more phase left....so 5 1/2 weeks to go. all i really wanna do at this point is get below 140....i'm asking for 2-3 more pounds to come off...i'm not asking for the world here!

how was the race? i still would love to do one! i don't know what a corporate challenge is.

tonight was night 2 of plyo. it was so hot today. the room i workout in was 87 at 9:20 when i started and still 87 one hour later! i was so gross! but burned 620 cals and pushed through it. i did some picking on fool while making dinner....think i was a little hungry from last nights workout! i will probably be starving tomorrow! haha! tomorrow and the rest of the week it is suppose to be much cool....77 during the day as opposed to the 90-something it was today! so my next three attempts at plyo should be better and i hope that i can jump start my weight loss again because i have been pretty steady and only have 5 weeks left until i am done this round.

i bet if you like your job more, it will make the whole working mother thing a little easier. congrats on the interview! i hope it works out. i work about 35 mins away. we recently opened another office and it is 8 miles from my house but is only half day for now. once it is a full day, it will be nice! now i have to make the longer drive in the morning then at lunch drive to the other office then work there.

glad you got the run in too. sometimes it sucks getting started but once we do, we feel great!

rocked the first night of plyo. 614 cals in an 83 degree room with no AC and only 2 fans. i felt great. we are suppose to get bad storms tomorrow so i am hoping it cools off a little before tomorrow nights go at plyo. i waited until like 9:15 to start tonight so i am a little wired right now!

So glad L is doing better finally. What an exhausting night for you!

Plyo every day for a week?!?! WOW. You are a rockstar for even considering that!

I had a pretty rough day at work... but I did get an interview for the job that is closer to home, so that's a good thing (interview is in two weeks), and I went for a run with a friend tonight (no babies!) - I wasn't looking forward to going, but I'm SO GLAD we went, I feel great now!!

today was a bit of a crazy day. L came in our room at 2:30am with another really high fever. I gave her motrin and she was up for another an hour. Around 4:30am, she started whimpering in her sleep. I felt her and she was cold! HALLELUJAH! Then we got t-storms around 6:15am and one dog was sleeping on my pillow and the other was panting in my face cause they were scared. L kept sleeping. Hubs was in her room sleeping away! We got up around 8:30 and hung out in bed until L kept saying her neck hurt and I realized she was talking about her throat. We got up and went to the after hours doctor clinic. No strep just a red and irritated throat. She was much better today and started eating a little more.

We went to the bike races this afternoon. They have a huge race (actually 5 different races) in town every memorial day. i believe it is international. we were there for like 2 hours. came home and hubs changed my breaks and oil. I fought with L for like 2 hours cause she was so tired! got her to bed by 7 and then I sprayed the trees outside that have a mold from us getting a lot rain. finally in bed!

no workout. planning on attempting to do plyo every day for the rest of the week. i wonder if that will jump start my weight loss again. or if i can even handle it!

Oooh. Lovely menu!!

Sorry L is fevering - poor girl.

We went for two walks today, and I took P to the park to play with his friends, and we did a bit of landscaping, and I took P to music class. Phew - busy day! Oh, and P and I did groceries and he made friends with everyone in the store. hehe.

Enjoy your long weekend!! I'm back to work tomorrow.

well everything seemed to be going good until L got a fever this morning! Every Memorial Day weekend since she was born (all 4 of them) she has been sick like this. Her fever has gone up to over 104 and she vomited once. She seems to be better but the fever is still up and down. It sucks. we still has a BBQ cause she vomited 5 mins before people got there. She was out with us for a little while but slept a lot too. so sad. I have no idea what it is about this weekend!

I made ham and pineapple kabobs today. they were pretty good. I grilled them until warm and coated with a brown sugar glaze. I also made a pasta salad with the garden pasta, all types of peppers, onions, black olives and low fat Italian dressing. it was pretty good. i ate well except for the chips and dip and wattamelon serbert roll and cake!

didn't get x-stretch in. if we get some sleep tonight, I might do it in the morning and then still do my regular workout tomorrow. actually....it is RECOVERY week! Maybe I will see some weight loss finally!

3 hours getting your hair done?!?! Now THAT'S an appointment!!!

I am so ready to be done this landscaping - every spare moment we've been outside shovelling dirt and mulch. At least it's a workout - but I haven't been getting any "real" workouts in.

Have a great long weekend!!

vegging is good! i hope to get some time in this weekend. we are having people over sunday so i have a ton of work around the house to get done. with working out every night the house is getting nasty! plus it would be so nice to get all the housework done in one day so i have 2 days to chill!

it was warm here today. probably close to 90! i got home from work at 3:45 and my husband had some extra cash from a side job and told me to take it and get my hair done. so i got an appointment and squeezed my workout in. LET ME TELL YOU.....intervalX+ in a room that is 84 degrees was NOT fun! i was dying! I burned 465 cals....20 more than last week. felt like it should have been 100 more! I had get in the shower 2 times to coll myself off! then we ran to Friendlys for a quick dinner and i spent 3 hours getting my hair done!

Oooh, yay for a long weekend!

I really need to set up a training schedule. Tonight was the first time in like a week that I've been able to just veg on the couch - it's been delightful.

they usually do have fun once the parent leaves. L still gives me a hard time sometimes if i am the one doing drop off and she is a daycare pro!

did back, biceps and abs today. it went by super fast. burned less than last week...488 compared to 519. it seems the hotter it is, the more i sweat but the less cals i burn...who knows. looking forward to a 3 day weekend though.

More landscaping tonight! Will it ever end?!?!

I'm doing ok with the work and home balance... Not great, but good. P seems fine at daycare - drop offs still suck, but I think he has fun once he gets into the groove. And my mom picks him up around 2 - just after his afternoon nap, so he gets some time with her every day.

Yay for rocking the plyo!!!

good for still getting a run in after all the weekend yard work! how are you doing juggling work and home? how is P doing at daycare?

my husband and i met for lunch today. we went to the olive garden and i ate pretty well. the worse was the 3 breadsticks! but i also had 2 bowls of their healthiest soup and two plates of salad with just a little oil and vinager, which saved about 500 cals without their dressing. but even though i thought i ate ok, i still felt yucky before my workout.

i did plyo tonight. had a good workout and burned 600 cals. it was tough cause it is finally getting warm and i was sweating like crazy!

i wish we could have gotten outside for yardwork...or just an ice day! i was a lot colder today. thus a very blah non-motivated day. i still got all my stuff done for the day but most after 5pm cause i was lazy. my husband isn't feeling well so his laying in bed all day made me want to do the same. got X-stretch in this evening though so that is good. i'm ready to start next week cause the end of this week was not my best eating days!

Nope, never heard of it... That sounds like quite the day!

We spent the day doing yard work and cleaning the house. We were about to take down our metal garden shed (we're having a new one delivered on Tuesday) and our neighbour came over and suggested that we post the shed online - so I did, and we had a guy come over and dismantle the shed and haul it away! He was so appreciative for a "new" shed, and we were so happy that we didn't have to take down the shed or take it to the dump!

Tomorrow we'll be doing more landscaping! PHew.

today was busy. i got the grass cut this morning for cardio minutes and cals burned. then we went to a sandwich place for lunch....cosi....ever hear of it? it is kinda like panera. we get it for lunch often at work and i love it! it is about 25 mins away and we were there cause we went to a dance recital for the dance school that my husband's cousin owns and it was their last one ever. it was nice and we went back to their house afterwards for a big bbq where i apparently ate more then i thought i did (and i really tried to watch it) cause i feel gross! we got home around 730 and i did kenpo cardioX+ and ab/core+. burned less than last week but i was feeling gross from dinner. i just want a quite day at home tomorrow....

a blendini is something at Ritas Italian Ice. it is Italian ice mixed with custard (ice cream) and candy pieces of your choice (m&ms, recees pieces, oreo....etc...). pretty heavenly if it is made correctly!

i was soooo tired today. the alarm went off at 6am and i actually asked my husband why, if it was really friday and if i had to go to work....and i was serious! so it was a long day.

tonight i did legs and back...no abs like last week. i burned 10 less cals so not bad. then we went to see fireworks after a local baseball game. L went right to bed and hasn't come out of her room yet so i assuming she is fast asleep by now!

What's a blendini?!?!?!

Donating blood was a great experience. Everyone was so nice, and the whole experience was just easy. The minor needle prick pain was nothing in the grand scheme. So, I'm a believer now. haha. I feel bad that it took me this long to actually donate!

It's a long weekend for us this weekend... we have lots of landscaping planned. At least it will be a workout at the same time... ha.

i would like to donate blood...just gotta do it for the first time. my dad always did.

another funky eating day. the doctors office i work for just opened another office closer to my house. we got thursday afternoons. i left the regular office a little early and my hubs met me for lunch and he grabbed burger king! not a good idea. we actually ended up finding a deli right around the block so we might try to stop there for lunch together on thursdays if he is in the area. then a rep brought cookies so i had three. then we went to ritas tonight and i had a blendini! ughhhhh!

but i had a good workout. interval X+ and 446 calories burned. i haven;t gained anything or lost anything this week but still have 3 days left this week to get the eating on track. i am sure i will!

I don't think your workout went to waste at all - I mean really, you ate what you ate - no biggie, but in doing the workout, your body used the food as fuel. Heck, if we always followed a large meal with a workout, I don't think there'd be an obesity epidemic...

Coming from the lady that spent last night on the couch. HAHAHA. We were supposed to take down our current (metal) shed and build a new one, but the new one didn't get delivered, so I vegged out instead!

Today I'm donating blood for the first time. I'm really excited actually!!

that sounds like a tough workout

we ate out tonight so i wasn't that great in my eating. however, i had an awesome workout though with back, biceps and abs. I used 15lbs this week for all but 1 bicep exercise and burned 70 more cals this week! totally kicked butt but i feel like it went to waste cause i ate about 2400 cals today....yuck. but it is ok....i am glad about the workout so i will focus on the positive! usually if i eat good the following day, i get right back on track.

we have had crazy rain here! my walk to my car after work consisted literally of walking through an inch of rain the whole way....no out door activities for us around here!

Mmmm. I love having breakfast for supper!! I'd probably do it once a week if hubs would agree!

I went for a run with a friend tonight - we both pushed our babes in their strollers, and we picked a hilly course through the ravine. It was hard work!! And the mosquitos were terrible. Yuck. So glad to have done it!!!

sometimes boring days are good!

tonight was plyo. 611 cals burned so I am happy about that. i felt great and that workout is really growing on me! my eating has been good. we had breakfast for dinner tonight. i made pancakes and i had 6 for only 282 cals. we also had turkey bacon and egg whites.

8 weeks left in this round of p90x and 8 pounds left that i would like to lose. oh...today is the one year anniversary since i first started p90x! what a year it has been!

yeah, i should have opened a daycare! i would be rich! haha! i mean for the most part it is worth it. when you break it down, if she was there for 10 hours a day, it would cost $4 an hour! where can you get a sitter at that rate??!!??

tonight was my fav....CS&T+abs. I burned a lot less today than last week. for some reason, my HR wasn't up like it usually is during ab ripper. might have been my HRM or I told my husband, maybe it is getting easier! haha. although i felt like i was working hard!

Yeah, daycare costs are a killer. Sigh. When we have two, it will be the same price to hire a nanny as to have them both in daycare... so maybe we'll hire a nanny.

We had a good, full day. I just submitted an application for a job... we'll see what happens. It would mean I'd get to work with my boss who just left, and I would only have a 15 min drive to work (and I wouldn't have to go downtown!!!!). But, the job posting has the term "stressful" in it like four times, so I'm not sure what I may be getting myself into. HA.

Too windy for my liking to run tonight... Hopefully it's calm tomorrow!

training sounds like a good idea! you don't want to get hurt! haha! but it sounds like a neat thing to do.

today was busy too. L and I had a play date, we met for lunch then went to the Planterium at the local community college. it was fun. they had a cool laser show.

i ate pretty good today for the most part. my husband and i did x-stretch tonight and it felt good!

actually....L would be like 5 1/2 when i want to have another one....you know, we dont get a long maternity leave around here and it would be over $2000 a month for daycare for two kids! so my plan would be to keep her home with my the summer before she starts kindergarden then she will go to school full time and the baby would go to daycare...but we have to see what happens....

Well, the training for a 5k should probably consist of 3-4 runs a week, of 20-45 mins... I didn't really train - I figured I was in good enough shape from all of my workouts and strollercize classes to get out there... For this next one, I really should train. It's been really windy here, so I've been using that as a (poor) excuse for not running.

That was one heck of a busy day!!

We drove to a city 1.5 hours a way to see my dad and a bunch of his extended family members - so stayed for lunch, and then drove right home, and then my BIL had us over for a bbq. It was a nice day all around.

So do you want your kids 5 yrs apart? (Am I remembering properly that L is 3?)

i've never done a run like that before. what is it like? what is the prep/training like for something like that? maybe one of these days i will try it.....

we got a lot done today. we did some house cleaning last night to get that out of the way. i gave the dogs baths today and we also gave them haircuts. we trimmed some bushes in the front yard and i cut the grass....which i love to do. we also went into town because we were having a day were all the restaurants on our main street let you sample food and stuff. i did good....only had 1 crab cake and like 4 little chicken nugget pieces. And a kids sized rita's fat free custard! L went to bed early since she didn't nap today. she did good....wasn't too cranky today.

my workouts kicked butt today! i felt great. i burned 577 cals for a total this week of 3258! so i better have lost at least a pound this week! i changed my goal weight for after this round to be a little more realistic. then i'll go from there....

i would actually like to have baby #2 around this time in 2 years so i need to stay slim for the next year or so cause i was too heavy when i had L!

i want to hide the scale....but at the same time i am scared too....i have to see how i do over the next week or so. i did great today and only eat what i had planned on....nothing extra entered my mouth! first time in a loooooong time!

i did intervalX+ tonight. i burned 452, my most ever and was really pushing myself. i overall did pretty good this week considering i had a very overwhelming and stressful week at work and didn't pig out too much! it was tough but i made sure we ate at home for dinner except for the night we had to rush to gymnastics!

i am so ready for the weekend. i want like 3 hours to sit on my ass and do nothing. doubt it...my house is a mess!!!!

Maybe it is time to hide the scale??

I didn't do a workout tonight - just a walk at lunch with a colleague, and tonight I went to a tupperware party at my MIL's house. I'm hoping to get a run in tomorrow...we'll see how that pans out.

Holy smokes - that's quite the calorie burn!!!!

Thanks to you, I did the shoulders & arms workout!! So, thanks!!! I just did one set of each exercise, so it only took 25 mins or so, but still, a good workout at the end of a long day!

Glad you are getting some mid-day walks in! I wish I could do that but we usually eat within 20mins in our offices inhaling our food to get back to work!

I need to get my eating in check. I had a bagel today that a vendor had brought to the office and some chocolate at home. At least the chocolate is gone so I don't have to worry about that! I just need to get like 2 or 3 days of eating just my meal plan then I will get used to it again. Weekends have been tough for me lately.

Tonight was plyo and I kicked butt! Burned 614 cals so I am obviously happy with that one! I just kind feel like it went to waste with eating the bagel and chocolate!

The mothers day gift sounds nice! I told my hubby I want to go to the coach outlet this summer. they have last season bags for like super cheap! Doesn't hurt to look!

Sorry you had such a sucky end to the week. But, good to just move on... And yay for CS&T! hehe.

My weekend was INSANE. Two birthdays for one year olds on Saturday, then a 5k race on Mother's Day (which was AWESOME! I had so much fun), then brunch at MIL's, then dinner with my mom. Phew. I am exhausted now!! Hubs got me a fancy coach purse for mother's day...I've never had a fancy purse before - and I'm in love with it!!!

I've got lunch time walks and stair climbing set up with colleagues this week. So that should be fun. I haven't had to do day care drop off in a few days...and I'm feeling lucky for that! hehe.

So Thursday and Friday were pretty rough. I just felt very run down and out of it. In the middle of the night on Friday, my husband asked if I was ok and I said why. He said I was breathing weird and when I got up in the morning I was so congested that I was out of breath walking to the bathroom! L had been getting up super early so I was up by like 6:30 every day this weekend and we are used to sleeping until 7:30.

Anyway, I hadn't worked out since last Wednesday so I decided to just re-do week 5. I gained back like 3 or 4 pounds feeling like crap and eating bad last week so I am back to where I was 5 weeks ago when I started this round. But ok...gotta put it behind me. I decided to change up my lunch a little bit which added some more calories to my daily intake but also more protein so I will take it. And the change will be good.

So I did CS&T and Abs tonight. By repeating this week, I will have to do that workout an extra time so I am looking at it has my punishment! HAHA! Actually I said tonight, I don't know why I hate the workout so much! I think I just needed to pick one out of the 12 or 13 workouts to complain about! haha! But I did really good today. Uped a lot of my weights and push up reps and burned 43 more calories that last week.

Mothers Day was nice....how was yours? I was a mother...same as every other Sunday! I got a nice necklace from my husband. L also got me one which we exchanged because it just didn't fit my neck right!

How was your day? How is work/daycare going?

12lb weights!! Look at you go!! YAY!

We don't have a scale at our house - I think that's a good thing. Going by how my clothes fit does seem to be a good enough indicator for me.

I'm in the habit of going for a walk every day at work - yay. Not anything big, but I'm so glad to get out from behind my desk! My 5k run is on Sunday - I'm really looking forward to it!!

did back and biceps and abs. good workout. didn't burn a whole lot but i used 12 pound weights for all but one bicep exercise. i am starting to kick ab rippers butt again. i told my husband that my abs should look better right now then they do! i keep having bad weekends and spend my week losing the 2-3 pounds i gained during the weekend. i think the scale needs to go away again! i always say that and never do it!

trust me! he will scream when you first leave and i bet if you call within an hour, he is playing and having a grand old time! they are just very clever little things and know what to do to get a rise out of you! to this day, whenever i have to take L to daycare, the teachers still have to come get her from me and hold her or distract her so i can leave. it is worse for you then for them!

He seems to be getting over his cold - and he's well enough to be at day care. Today hubs dropped him off...and neither of them was too impressed. P screamed. Hubs left feeling awful. Sigh. But I think P has fun while he's there...

I like back and biceps!!!

Work is insane. Sigh. I was booked for FIVE meetings yesterday. CRAZY TOWN. Oh well.

I went for a run with my friend last night!! It was sooooo fun!

Glad you got CST done! Hope you're having a great start to the week!

so......how was the first day back? did you get your run in?

so i ate much better today. we were out late so L and I went to wendys and i got the grilled chicken sandwich with no sauce and small fries. so not bad....like 610 calories. and it was CST tonight....hated it and didn't "bring it" but I really wanted to get used to the moves again cause they are just so different for me! i still burned 447 calories with ab ripper done also. i hope in the next day or 2 i will drop this weekend weight and start losing weight again! i have like 10-11 pounds i would like to lose by july 3. that is 9 weeks....so a little more than a pound a week will do it!

Awww. Well. The day is done now, and it's a new week!

I am trying to get everything ready for work. P is still sick, so we're not sure if he'll go to day care tomorrow, or if he'll spend the whole day with my mom... I want to paint my nails - so I should get off the computer and do that!

I am meeting a friend to go for a run tomorrow night - I am SO EXCITED for that!!

good luck at work tomorrow.

today was just a horrible eating day. the best i could, i estimated a little over 2700 cals. i burned like 370 cutting the grass and doing stretching. i got home from the food store after eating breakfast and a snack and i was so hungry, i felt like i was going to throw up. i just started eating chocolates and cheese curls and a cookies! then i wanted a tuna melt to we went to lunch. i was so full, i felt sick! but still had a cheeseburger happy meal later for dinner and i was just so hungry again that i ate a bowl of cereal! not sure what is going on today but i can't wait to get it out of my system! what a yucky feeling day.

Sounds like a nice weekend!!

P's birthday party today (his second one, hehe) was soooo much fun!! I wasn't prepared for there to be more the 25 people in my house (guess I didn't believe everyone who said they were going to show up actually would), but we had a blast!! The kid is set for summer clothes for sure! I hope he sleeps in tomorrow...he had a very exciting night tonight!

I am hoping to feel well enough to go for a run tomorrow...

yuck for the sickness....hopefully you guys are better for Monday. I remember when my husband started a new job, the first day, L was sick with bronchitis and I had to stay home!

I didn't not eat well today. I just picked a lot. And my workout didn't give a big burn. 371 cals with kenpo cardio+ compared to 405 last week. I am going to attribute it to me getting more fit and not having to work as hard!

We went to an environmental fair this morning. L painted a bird hours and got some tree/flowers to plant. Tomorrow we are going to a family fun day at a stable with one of L's daycare friends. Should be fun. I'll get my cardio in by cutting the grass tomorrow! then i'll stretch and get ready for phase 2!
