Special challenges make it that much more difficult to meet our weight goals. Anything, from perscribed medications to food ingredients can have an effect on an individual's system. We often don't realize it until they manifest itself in a bit way. I, too have many medication issues including thyroid, I do a lot of "tweaking" but I have learned to make spark work for me. The collective wisdom and support of the teams is fantastic.
I wish you the best as you find what works for you. There are many willing to share their experience, so whenever you have time/inclination we always are interested in updates.

Hello Everyone. I'm 42 years old with two teenage sons and a wonderful husband. I joined weight watchers to lose the weight again. I was frustrated with the way WW tracks the fitness points. I use a heart rate monitor to see how may calories I burn and wanted to accurately tract my activity points. So i googled it and found this site and decided to give it a try. I am really liking it and quit WW. Two weeks ago I was ready to throw in the towel and wrote a blog post about it. I received encouraging feedback and lost 3 pounds the next week. The thyroid community was so helpful. I have been on thyroid medicine for 18 years and wasn't aware of how different foods and medicine timing effect the medication. I look forward to continuing the journey. I would like to lose around 20 pounds and keep it off for good.
