Are you a "gulper" or a "chewer"?

35 times is the answer!!!!!

I just counted how many times I chew every mouthful:
Only 8 times! I'm a "gulper".

it's a great experiment. please try it.

This is a good reality check for me. Often, I don't take the time to really enjoy my meals. Often I am distracted and wait too long so I eat in a rush. It would be a good practice for me to slow down and chew thouroughly, savoring taste, textures etc. Sometimes I will do this, but not often enough. I know it is recommnended to put silver down and completely chew food. I should add this as a practice in achieving my goals.

Teresa

I chew it in whatever way is required to enjoy the taste, texture, flavor of the food. I am all about the food. I LOVE food! Which is why I cook meals that are both delicious and appropriate to maintaining my weight. I refuse to eat food I can't relish!
