My behaviours that are unhealthy:

- perfectionism
- all or nothing thinking
- laziness
- not having a plan for my day, thus sitting in my recliner with my laptop being actively engaged by me
- not doing the physio stretches/exercises to help my body heal so I can walk without pain
- not eating breakfast until later in the day
- not having a good sleeping schedule
- not drinking enough water
- binging on peanut butter in the middle of the night
- not knowing how to have only one cookie, brownie, etc

Now, I must share that I have chronic depression, anxiety disorder and agoraphobia, all of which affect how my days go. I'm going through med changes right now and withdrawal sucks, but a new medication added to my cocktail seems to be helping a lot. I know my mental health will improve by living a healthy lifestyle which will lead to healthy behaviours.

Behaviors that are unhealthy:

I eat when not really hungry when stressed, really tired or bored.
Sometimes I procrastinate - with exercise and other things in my life
Perfectionism - which leads to all or nothing attitude (I'm working at this hard but it still seeps in to my life on occassion)

Exercise is the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth!

MIMI I have had friends at WW tell me they don't eat all day on their weigh-in day. To me...That is not eating healthy. Our bodies do need fuel every day. I am cutting back on coffee too. I had quit but, I started drinking it again about a month ago. I am going half/half now. We can do it.

Good Lord, where do I start?

...My tongue never met a fat or sodium it didn't love
...I'm an emotional eater when bored or depressed
...I don't drink enough water
...I don't exercise enough (I'm almost inert!)
...I totally love (regular) coffee

I'm slowly getting back into exercise. Starting today, I'm drinking more water, and cutting back on fat and sodium.

However, my coffee is sacred.

Happy new year.
I'll be happy to join you changing this habit. I think what will work for me is doing it gradually, the way i stopped drinking coffe with cafein. Every montyh I reduced my cafein just a littl. Now I drink only up to 1 cup of coffe with cafein a day.

Every week I'll reduce 2 points, so instead of using like 10 extra weekly points on my weigh-in day, I'll use only 8, and so forth...
If it will take me 5 weeks to eliminate this habit, it will be great.

I really want to change this habit.
I wonder if many WW members, even when losing the weight, do kind of the same thing..... very careful 1-2 days before weigh-in and too relaxed on the day of weigh-in, after the weigh-in.....

MIMI...I don't starve either, but I really eat lite and I reframe from drinking the last 3 or 4 glasses of water till after the weigh in. I will not do this any more starting tomorrow. I am only lying to myself. I am going to do it right from now on.

I'm adding your # 2 to my list.
Not that I really starve, but I'm so so careful of portions, no salt, and the kind of foods I'm eating.
Usually I eat about 27 points daily to maintain (22 + 5 WPA)), but the day before WW weigh-in (or two days before, it all depends...)I eat no more than 20 points daily.

- I fall off the wagon too easily
- There's too much junk food in the house (bought by moi!)
- After a night out with friends, I lack motivation next day
- I've got an "all or nothing" mentality, I'm either on a diet or I'm eating all round me

I have so many!!! ;)

1. I am a obsessive eater - I keep myself away from the bad stuff, then give up to temptation and binge.
2. I eat when stressed, bored, or anxious
3. I have a family who eats whatever, so many times I do as well - NO willpower

3. I need to exercise more consistently
4. I focus too much on what, and when to eat
5. I taste when I cook also.

* You may list ANY behaiviors, not only the eating habits ones.

This is from the wonderful cookbook I mentioned in another thread called: FIX-IT and ENJOY-IT HEALTHY

Do you want to make lasting changes to the way you eat, than you need a plan.
Follow these steps.

THIS IS THE FIRST STEP!

List your behaviors that you think are unhealthy.
For example, may be you eat too fast, or snack throughout the day instead of eating regular meals, or eat whenever you're under stress.

9 more steps to follow, one at a time.
