Hi, I'm Lori and I have been a WW member 4 times in my life. I lost 60 lbs. in 2002 after my first son was born, but dropped out of the meetings after all my friends reached goal and I was alone at the meetings. I tried joining 2 more times after that by myself and it didn't last more than a month each time. Now I'm a stay-home mom and can't afford the meetings, so I'm doing WW points on my own at home with my husband. Today ends my first week and I lost 1 lousy pound and I'm really frustrated since I was perfect all week. Next week will be better (it had better be!)

WOW!! I found a group made just for me. I bought a WW cookbook several months back and love it!! I have since bought more and love the recipes. My kids see me looking through them all the time now and know I am planning something. I have learned some new seasonings, herbs and ways to cook and love it. It's almost addicting. I look forward to this group and meeting everyone..

Hi, I'm Stefani. I am doing Weight Watchers on my own. I bought the calculator and I am writing points on everything I buy when I buy it. I did mess up day though. I bought a 3 Musketeer's. And I did the points and its 6 points. I almost had a heart attack when I found that out. I can not wait to lose weight and be a healthier me again.

Hey all... I'm new here. I did WW online to lose about 10 lbs, and now I've got about 6 more to lose. I unsuscribed recently to cut out monthly expenses, and ran across SP. I am so excited to be here, and need all the help I can get for these last few lbs.

Happy Weekend everyone! I'm joining from Upstate NY. I did WW when I lived in TX and was successful until I moved. The groups here aren't as much fun, so I wasn't getting enough out of it. SparkPeople gives me the support I need and the motivation to keep it going... and now I find this group! I'm very excited!!

Hi, I'm relatively new to SP (October), but have been on again/off again with WW due to cost. I'm a single mom of a 17 yr old young man. If it were just me at home it would be a lot easier to keep just the food in the house that I should. With a 17 yr. old boy you have to have everything, all the time. Because the Good Lord knows that as soon as the table is cleared, dishes are done - he's hungry again - and of course, he is stick thin and 6'2" tall.
Glad to have found this team, looking forward to browing recipes and getting to know you.

Hi Team,
I just found this team after joining SparkPeople in July 2008.
I am a WW Lifetime member and WW receptionist.
I started with SP after I switched from WW's FLEX plan to the CORE plan because I was curious about my nutrition stats. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was well within my caloric range but saw that I needed to up my fiber intake.
In my opinion, that's what's so helpful about SP - being able to fine-tune your journey. The combination of WW and SP is a powerful tool!
Happy Journey to us ALL!

Hi WW pals,
I have been on WW for just a year, and have lost about 35 pounds, with another 25ish to go. I have done both core and flex, but I mainly stick with flex.
Every week I sit down with my WW Annual Recipes cookbooks and plan a week's worth of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. But after a year, I gotta say, I think I have made everything in those books. Twice. So I am looking for some new recipes to keep things fun in the kitchen and interesting on the palate.
So glad to find you all here!

Good Morning everyone, I'm Linda, from Maine, married, 4 kids, two grown, and two teenagers. I'm always looking for great recipes to keep my family and myself on track. I've struggled with my weight all my life. Taking small steps forward every day. This looks like a great group and can't wait to meet everyone. Have a great day

...I have been attending WW for the past two years and have not been disciplined about it. The first time I did WW (over 7 years now), I did much better...I really like the variety of Core, but do better when I journal. One of my problems is snacking! I prepare my food for work and do fine there, it is the evening and the weekend that get me. My will power/discipline has been out the window. So on July 21st of this year, I 'officially' started over, determined to get this eating in control. I still haven't gotten it in control, so next week have an appointment with doctor to get referral to a nutritionist. I'm hoping that by combining all of these support systems, I can get to my healthy weight! I'm looking forward to sharing/finding great core recipes here and the other WW teams I joined.

I just found your wonderful sight and I have to say how impressed I am. Although I am not a WW member now, I have been in the past. It is a great program and it always worked for me. Now, years later, I can't afford the fees since retiring from the work force. I was delighted to see some of the recipe's here plus a whole lot more. Joyce

I am Meryl and have been going strong on SP for about 2 months now (I did joinback in Feb but I got back on the bandwagon). I am doing the WW flex thing but I do not go to meetings, I have enough friends to lend me the books and point counters.
I have a limited diet..I only eat chicken, turkey and seafood so I am very excited to check out your food recipes and if I ever come up with some I will gladly share.
On side note, I am 26, live at home in MA and I work at a diagnostics company. Check out my page for more info. Look fwd to meeting you all!

Hi everyone,
My name is Sheila and I am happily married to a wonderful man, John. We have been married for 23 years and we have 2 wonderful kids...well they are growing up on me. I am not ready to let them go yet. My daughter is 18 and my son is 16.
I have been over weight since 1988 started with my pregnancies. I just blossomed after that. I have been on many different diets. All of them worked...I just fell off the wagon to many times. gain and lose.
I took the plunge once more and joined ww this week. My meetings are on Tue nights at 6pm. I am looking forward to my first weigh in. I have a long road ahead of me, but I know I can do this.
I will be away from my computer 9/19--9/28.
Thank you for all the warm welcoming sparkmails. I look forward to getting to know you all better.
