Welcome! Yes, you can definitely join our monthly mileage challenge at any time during the month! For sure! Please, join us! That goes for anyone reading this: You never need to wait until the first of the month to join. You've got to grab on to that motivation when you have it!
And, don't be intimidated by any of the other numbers, this is a challenge for what works for you, on your journey. I know when I first started participating, I was thinking OMG, I can't complete with these numbers. But, it doesn't matter - if your goal is 5 miles a month, so be it! Lately, I mostly bike ride rather than walk or run since that seems to work best for my body. Hope to see you in the mileage challenge. Let us know if you have any other questions or need support!

What can I say, I have been a part of SP for a few years. I haven't been very active here for longer than I like but here I am. Was born and raised in MN and am not fond of winter. My main activity for getting into shape is running. I have recently been dealing with a very common low back issue, a bulging disc, which put a damper on any activity for about 6 weeks. Anyway, I am back to running/walking but just for short periods. I was hoping to do the mileage challenge right off the bat, even just to finish up the month of Dec. rather than wait for Jan. Would that be ok?? I really look forward to getting started again!!
