Welcome Doreen! It is nice that you have an eliptical than you can just hop on it while your daughter is napping or playing with toys. You'll be setting a good example for her. Congrats on the 4 pounds lost! You can do it!!

As you've probably noticed, there are a ton of resources here! I still find something new here almost every day. I recommend using the nutrition/food tracker because that is the key element in weight loss for most people. I've tracked everything since May 2011 and am 89 pounds lighter to show for it. It takes a little bit of time, but it is sooooo worth it!

Like you, my work life involves sitting at a desk all day, so it's up to us to get ourselves moving whenever we can. Be sure to ask for help, support and encouragement if you need it!

My name is Doreen. I am 30 years old. I have a beautiful daughter that will be 2 in december. I am a dispatcher by day and a free lance writer by night. Neither job has many physical requirements, so I am glad to have spark. So far, I LOVE spark and I enjoy learning more each day. I want to lose about 50 pounds. I recently bought a scale and an elliptical. I found I lost 4 pounds. I am excited and hopeful about the future :)
