Welcome to the team. I went to high school in Bloomington and used to hang out at Nakomis a lot. Nice area. Haven't been there in many, many years though. Smart plan to set attainable goals for yourself. Those accomplisments will help you reach the end goal.

Welcome Neighbor (I also live near Nokomis, great area)! There are a ton of resources here on SparkPeople, I hope that you find it as motivating and helpful as I have! Breaking your goals up into mini-goals is a great plan! I also recommend starting with the nutrition/food tracker (if you haven't already), because that is the key element in weight loss for most people.

I am ERTsMOM. I live in south Minneapolis, near Lake Nokomis, and am a married mother of an almost 2yo. I have baby weight (and then some) to lose; ideally ~50lbs but I'm taking it 10lbs at a time. I'm looking for mutual support and encouragement.
