carmcc seriously, a closet just for shoes! that would be awesome....right now i just toss 'like' shoes into different baskets....ie the black shoe basket, the summer wedge basket, the flat sandals basket, etc...

Being an unstoppable shoe buyer (who also can't bear to part with any)I could probably make it by just changing my shoes. No matter what size my body is, my feet stay the same! And yes, I do have a shoe closet. Floor to ceiling shoes.

DH and I share the huge master bedroom closet - but we each have an office (mine is also the guestroom) so we each have an extra closet! Nice!

And I probably have more white tops than I do black pants!

Luckily, we bought a house this year and the master closet is HUGE walk in closet w/his/her sides. This should tell you how much clothes I have. I have regular clothes in there and I have my seasonal clothes in another closet one of the other spare bedrooms. Not to mention I have my shoes and purses in that walk-in closet. Luckily, it has lots of built in shelving. emoticon

now if your black pants are different styled?...ie capris vs boot cut vs slim leg vs denim vs velvet...you have the potential for 7 different outfits...but you better have 7 different white tops...hehehehe

So it wouldn't work to pair the same white top with my seven different pair of black pants, huh? (I really do have at least 7 pairs of black pants - scary when I think about it.)

phebess,

the challenge allows to wear something twice like a skirt, but the whole look has to be completely different...

so that's somewhat more of a challenge....but doable...i've got things from at least 4 years ago...hehehehe

Hi and welcome!

If you're mixing and matching, you can get 100s of outfits from fewer garments - so you probably have over 100. Of course, some shirts only work with one or two skirts/pants rather than working with every skirt or pair of pants you have - but still, you can get a lotta ensembles out of not that many separates.

I like to see how long it takes before I repeat an outfit for work - I can go for at least 2 months before I repeat - but if I stick with my faves, it's more like just one month.

my daughters' babysitter challenged me to take pixs of every outfit i own...she says i have at least 100+

i'm up to outfit 18...tonight i'll add #19

i don't spend alot of money on clothes...i love forever 21, love culture and charlotte russe(and i'm 38)...i frequent ross, target, marshalls and tjmaxx on a regular basis...and i love the nes 2nd hand clothing store i found locally where i find the most amazing things for $15 or less...
