Hello everyone. I'm here to get motivated to move! I have found my way nutrition wise and am losing steadily (16 pounds in 3 weeks) BUT, I NEED TO MOVE!!! I'm a big girl (376 lbs) and am usually heckled in the gym, grocery store, on the street...I want to go to the gym but I may be coming to you all to help me to nurse my bruised ego after facing the harassment. Just words of encouragement every now and then when I come limping home after a good work out. Wish me luck!!!


I pray to change into a better me one day at a time!

On a mission to be FIT and HEALTHY.. Need to lose 50 pounds. The sound of 50 POUNDS really scares me so I just going to take it 5 pounds at a time. emoticon

Hi my name is Victoria. I am 22 years old and I happened to take a look at my life and myself, and I am unhappy with me. Within the last 3-4 years I have gained almost 55 pounds. So I began looking for a group who could help me get back to me and who I would be accountable to. I also joined because I need to be associated with good people and energy. After doing some cleaning in my personal life and family relationships it's time for me to focus on myself. I want to lose the negative weight that I have gained and get back to my healthy self.

Hello I am new to the group. I just rejoined Sparkpeople. I am back on my weight loss journey. I have a seven month old boy that I love to spend time with. But I have to set time aside for myself at least four times a week at the gym. He has been my excues for to long. I lost 20 pounds after having him. But being inactive caused me to gain it all back. Now I am back where I was before I had him. I going to get my sexy back this summer. Eating good and exercising.

Hi! My name is Sylvia. I have really fallen off track with my lifestyle: sporadic exercise, gained 30 pounds. I need help with accountability. Goal is to lose 15 pounds by April 7. I also hate weight training which is important for those of us in the "Second Spring". Willing to pair up with another so we both achieve our goals.

Hello Everyone! My name is Doris and I have been active on SparkPeople for a little over 4 years now. I was browsing teams and looking for something to get and keep me motivated for my recent re-commitment. My most recent goal is to be prepared to participate with my daughter in the Tough Mudder in June 2013. This requires extensive training with weights, which is my least favorite activity to do. to be able to compete, I must build upper body strength, which requires my doing weights. I am hoping to gain additional support and encouragement for the task.

Hi My name is Gia, my spark username is sumthin4me. I have been a member of Sparkpeople for quite some time, years actually, and have been very inconsistent. I'm hoping to really utilize it to the fullest and make it stick this time. I find that my biggest obstacle is support. Even on Sparkpeople, I find that I cannot find a core group of buddies who are consistently visiting the site and showing up as a support system. I'm hoping to change that by joining more teams and posting to boards and getting in on conversations. I hope to find some good support, we all will need it one way or the other to succeed. My long term goal is to drop 123.5 lbs (very specific! LOL), and my short term weight loss goal is to lose 3.5 lbs. My short term long term goal is 20 lbs by October. My other goals include portion control and utilizing the 10 minute philosophy to ensure that I get adequate exercise! I hope some of you come by my page, or buddy up with me because I am all in and ready to be there with you on the journey!! Peace & Blessings!
