That is quite a few years, now that's the past and your future well it's going to be a heck of a lot better! Just making the decision is a great start :)
Glad you're on the team and hope that your weight loss journey will be a successful one. We're here when you need us!
"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will."
Well, that's not entirely true. I've been in Nova Scotia for about a year, now, moved here from the midwest USA, and it's been a HECK OF AN ADJUSTMENT.
And I have actually had a sparkpeople account for a few years, but never really used it until now.
I re-started my journey to health and physical fitness this past week after a year of sorrow, as well as joy. Since 2008 I have separated from my husband, moved to another country, graduated college, lost both of my cats, lost 78lbs, put on about 19lbs of muscle, greatly injured my shoulder, was in a hit and run car accident, and am in the middle of a whirlwind change in careers.
WHEW! It's been a hectic few years.
I managed to keep my weight and body comfortable for the first 10 months after my injury, but the last 10 months up until this last week+ I put on 40lbs. UGH!
Anyway, I am preparing for my hopeful career change, which will be much more physically demanding than what I am currently doing, and am happy to report my injuries are all just about healed up, or at least to a point where I can train akin to what I am more used to.
Aiming to get my body fat percentage back down to what I consider an "acceptable level", fit back into my clothes, feel comfortable in my skin, and not feel like getting back into sweat pants and tee-shirt after looking in the mirror!
That's about all I have to say...
