Nice to hear from you, Linda! You are well on your way too. I notice you want to lose forty more pounds. That's about what I want to lose as well. I like Curves. I can work really hard or slack off if I'm feeling sore and still get some aerobic in. Other than that, I just go for walks a few times a week and do some strength training from the fitness page a couple of times a week. Mostly, I try to watch what I eat and always try to eat before I get hungry so I don't overdo.
Mehar, you are a woman on a mission. You have a definite plan! I would also like to do aquasize so I hope the community pool is open this winter. Great strategy at the movies. I bring my own snacks too. Otherwise,all I can think of is food!
Well, today is our last day in Halifax. We'll be heading back to Cape Breton tomorrow morning. The family is coming over tonight for dinner (my sister and her husband, my brothers - 2, and assorted others. It's hard to get together, I find so we have to make the most of the time we have.
Fredericton is pretty good. A little overcast and muggy but no rain yet.
I'm doing great. I started an additional bootcamp. It's on Saturday morning for an hour. It last for 4 weeks. Starting on the 8th of September I'm doing an 8 week Pilate's class on Tuesday evenings. I'm hoping to do aquacise on Thursday nights or go to lap swim on Sunday nights. I've decided I'll take Fridays off. Today was the first time I went to the movie theatre and didn't get something at concession. I brought mini rice cakes and water. That doesn't sound appealing but it was fine. It didn't leave me dehydrated like the theatre popcorn does. Here's to a great week ahead! Tomorrow night is cardio burlesque at bootcamp. Should be fun!
I am from PEI Joined SP in May. I go to Curves 3 times a week and do the rest of my workouts at home (walking in summer, treadmill in winter, plus Turbo Jam Latin Dance steps and a few belly dance exercises
I am down 21 pounds since may with 40 more to go.

s, Well, I am out to break out of this plateau. I did my morning walk (just 50 minutes but long for me) and I did my Spark generated strength training and my stretches. It's not huge but I am trying to build consistency so I can keep it up when I get back to work.
I went slightly over in calories yesterday which surprised me but I'll pay more attention today. Just my fantastic spinach salad for lunch (Don't worry, there's lots of other stuff in it) and no surprise Tim Horton's low-fat cranberry muffins in the list. They're not a bad snack, I guess, but I didn't pay attention to what else I had eaten.
Today is a new day. I'm taking it by the ears and shaking it. (See what getting a good night's sleep for a change will do to you?) I hope this attitude lasts for a while; I need to TAKE CONTROL!!!!

I started on my weight loss/life style change in January (a resolution I actually followed through on). Then I found SparkPeople in April. I love it!
So far, I have lost 55 pounds which makes me very happy. I still have thirty or so to go. Right now I am at a plateau, I'm afraid. So I am continuing to work on my exercise which has been (sigh) sporadic.
I am 57 years young living and working in C.B.I. I am hoping to live and work here for a long time yet to come if I do things right.
I am hoping to find a buddy to work with here. I need someone to keep me in line.
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and I'm loving what this site has to offer. I'm currently doing a program through Inches Weight Loss here in Fredericton for people that have more than 80Lbs to loose. We have boot camp twice a week along with a little "metal" booster session and we are also provided with 2000 calories meal plan. We're 6 weeks into the 24 week program and I'm down 12.5Lbs and as of August 5 I was down 5.25inches. I'm feeling great! I'm really looking forward to being a part of this team as I continue my journey.
