Wow, sounds like you live in a great place!
I joined sp in March, and lost some slowly, then just got serious at the beginning of the summer, and went back to low carb, which has always worked great for me. I love the Atkins diet and always feel my best when I eat that way. So, this time I'm sticking with it and making low carb my lifetime way of eating.
I also read up on Kimkins, which is a more agressive version of a low carb diet, but you will lose some serious weight if you can do it... I have a Kimkins team where it's all explained if you want to give it a look-see. (see link on my sparkpage)
I just started exercising... walking 30 minutes a day, doing a few crunches... nothing too hard :) I'm not much of an exerciser either. My dream exercise routine is... to live close enough to a beach to do a morning walk there each morning. I would definitely LOVE that.
