I've been a Spark member since January. I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) in January, and from the research I did on my own, I learned that low carb was the way to go. I had an appointment with an Endocrinologist in April, and he told me I needed to get down to 136 lbs before he'll give me the okay to try having kids (I REALLY want kids, and PCOS makes it a challenge). He, too, told me that low carb was the way to go.
So...in April, I started out REALLY strong, I had a couple of great months, but July was my birthday, and vacation time, and it's all been down hill from there. That's about the time I stopped using Spark religiously, too. I had lost nearly 30 pounds, but when I went back to visit my endocrinologist yesterday, I'd only lost 5. That's SO depressing!
He put me on a SUPER strict diet, and exercise plan (well, the exercise plan's not so bad). I'm starting to re-incorporate some of the good habits back in, but I have some food at home that MUST be eaten before I'm following the plan to the T (I REFUSE to throw out perfectly good food!). So, Monday is the re-start day for me!
