Years ago, I toured a gym, looking for a place I could swim near my home. I had no need to lose weight, but the employee who showed me around talked about how the place could help me get smaller and at the end asked how much weight I wanted to lose, at which point I responded that I expected if I worked out regularly I would add muscle and gain weight and that was desirable to me. The assumption in our society that you can never be too skinny is stupid and dangerous, and I just wanted to cheer for this team. Hurrah for healthy bodies that can DO stuff!
