Cradle Catholic here. Never "left" but did go through a period of time where I was not really practicing my faith.

Have you tried to convert your husband? I was protestant until I decided to attend a RCIA class. I recall what really did it for me was listening to Scott Hann's and his wife's converstion story.

What is SRE?

The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.

I was born on Omaha, Nebraska and raised Catholic. In fact, it wasn't until I was 8 that I realized there were other religions. There is quite a big percentage of Catholics in Omaha then. We now live in Virginia. My children are cradle Catholics, and my hubby is Protestant. We have found a great parish, my son has joined the Youth group. Both kiddos are enrolled in SRE, and I joined the Women's group ministry.
