Your art history may give you a jump on some of us...I love the religious art works and can't wait to see Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel this summer when I go to Italy!

Hi! I'm a newbie confirmed 2yrs. ago. I've been around the block with different religions before this time. I have learned to love praying the Rosary and wish to learn from others.

emoticon to the team, Kathy! It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing a bit with us about your life and your journey of faith. It sounds like the Holy Spirit is very much with you!

I have learned, and continue to learn, a great deal from my Protestant Christian friends and family. I am looking forward to sharing, even in some tiny way in your journey, and in possibly being able, with the help of the team, answer any questions you have.

I will pray for you.

I am intrigued by the mention of art history and the Church. I do not know much about that area, but am eager to learn!

Thank each of you for your support and kind words of encouragement. I told the priest today that I felt sort of like a 3 year old... just starting to learn the words of our faith walk. Smile. He was wonderful and so patient and encouraging. I'm allowing myself to be a beginner in Catholicism but not in Christianity. I am a prayer warrior! Smile. I love to study the Bible and church history. Art history (in college) taught me more about the Catholic church than any other main cause of art. This is where (perhaps) my journey began toward the faith. Michelangelo alone would be enough but the works of early church art are so astoundingly wonderful! I look forward to asking questions and please know that I welcome any help or advice you can give me. Smile. Kathy

A smile can make it all feel a little better. So, I go and smile at myself in the mirror. Shallow or what? But it works... My name is Kathy and I'm Pennsylvania.

MAYKATCOOPER, welcome and glad you were called into the faith, and asked to join this group!!

I so loved what said, "You wanted to approach God at His level, on His throne." I am going to use your phrase.

Hi and welcome to you! Your faith journey reminds me of my own. I finally became Catholic in 1999, and this year decided to go through RCIA again, now that it's being taught by a priest, and I am still learning a lot.
I will pray for you.

_Romona suggested that I join this team and so ... here I am. Smile.

Blessings to you! I am just beginning to search the truths of the Catholic faith. I have been a God seeker since a very young child. I love Bible study! The protestant denominations I've been a part of have been wonderful and I've learned much, but I long to approach God where He is... on His throne rather than bring Him to my level... a human with specifics likes and dislikes in worship style. Sigh, I met with Father Leonard today for the first time as my husband and I consider taking the commitment to instruction. I covet your prayers in this. Thank you all for being here supporting each other. Kathy
