I am proud to announce that as of Valentine's Day, I am 100 lbs. lower than I was when I started this journey. Today marks 18 months of working at getting healthier. I couldn't have gotten this far without all the great support I get from my Spark friends. Thank you all.

Hello, my name is Freida and I live in NH in a small town named Unity. Back when Obama was campaigning in 2008, he and Hillary came to our small town, believe me that is the most excitement our town has seen, EVER. I really don't understand much about politics, but, I adore this man, and I feel, personally, he came into a real big mess, and is doing his absolute best. He has my total support!!!!

sorry I took so long getting back. i am still learning to navigate this page. Thank you ALL for being here and being liberal. yes, it is VERY lonely in AZ. :) And yes, Irishlady.. the wingnuts are plentiful! We have a few liberal friends, but it is so lonely. We are from western montana which is VERY liberal. It's mostly easter montana that is "red" and those ranchers have the bucks. we had a great montana gov. in schweitzer... and here I am stuck with the shrew of shrews! I can't even bear to type that harpees name. :)

Hey all......
We can't be the ONLY Liberals on Sparks....... Why can't we recruit more people and spread our message?
I'm sure that somewhere on this site there are 'tea party' teams..... Remember, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil!
I'm hesitant to talk politics on other teams....it isn't PC.....but, we're only a handful of people. How can we grow the team? Any suggestions??

Hi and welcome!
One of my closest friends - a committed Progressive - recently moved to Arizona..... I told her to seek out as many Liberals and Progressives as she can find.......and make a difference - in a state where there is so much natural beauty and so much human ugliness.
I've loved my visits to Arizona (Scottsdale, Sedona.....and surrounding areas)......but I never spoke politics with the locals. How can you get our message to people who have already 'drunk the Kool-aid'??
