I'm a 35 year old Met fan. I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley; but, like all good New Yorkers, I have moved to Florida! I just decided to do it now, instead of when I'm 80.
I grew up in the woods, constantly hiking and running. My fitness level was out of sight, and I was even offered a couple Track scholarships. College came, and so did the weight. I'm shedding it now, as I'm increasing my running after years of overuse injuries. I'm enjoying the way back up!
Nice to "meet" everyone. And, even though my stomach hurts every time I say it these days: LET'S GO METS!
I'm in my late 50's and have been a Mets Fan since the 1960's. Yes I've followed them since before 1969. Just hated the arrogance of the Yankees and loved the innocence of the early Mets. I can still remember watching that final world series game back in 69. I was a HS senior then and was on the phone talking with my girlfriend and listening to the game. When they won, her parents had party that night- even had a cardboard cutout of Tom Seaver.
I have followed the Mets ever since. Now, living in DE I really have to support my team. This place is full of Philly Fanatics- almost as obnixous as the Yankee fans of old.

I am a 40 something Met fan. I was a Red Sox fan when I was a boy but when they lost that one game playoff to the Yankees - I decided no more - and I started to root for My Dad's Mets. They did not disappoint - they were expected to be just okay and they were. So starting in Spring of 1979 - I was a Met fan.
To be honest - starting to wonder about that decision.
