I've been doing the Beck Diet Solution since July 2012 and Sparks since September. Didn't realize Sparks has BDS group till 5 minutes ago. Decided to join as I am working that program and using the tools.

There must have been a small amount of success last time, because I still have my advantage response card. My main reason I want to control my eating is because I do not want the diseases that go with the typical SAD way of eating.
I'm glad you are ready for a change in the way you think about food. I'm ready for a change as well. I try so many things and have success, but then I week or so later I'm right back to where I was. Having the support of this forum will help us stay on track. Welcome.

HI, My name is Nancy and I think I joined this team some years ago under another Spark name. I decided I need to get a handle on the way I think about my eating. I remember this program helped me in the past but as I pulled out my workbook I see I only made it to day 6, unless I switched to an different notebook.
That seems to be my story about changing my eating habits, I cannot seem to stick with a certain method long-term. I do not have much support from other family members. One talks the walk but does not walk it, another doesn't care one way or the other and the other tells me it is my fault that he is gaining weight because I don't cook all the meals.
But this isn't about them, it is about me and I want to learn to respond in a positive manner whenever I encounter the triggers that cause me to overeat foods I know I shouldn't be eating because they are unhealthy.
