Hi there. I also just started- today I am on Day 6. So far I have done everything according to the book, but other than sp and this team I can't think of anyone to ask to be a diet coach. So for now it is you guys
Welcome! I followed it very carefully when I went through Beck for the first time about four years ago. I succeeded! Lately, I have been "making up my own rules" and slipping back into old ways of thinking, and it is not working out so well!!!
The good news is, enough of what I internalized the first time (being really committed for the first year or two) has stuck with me, so even though I started gaining back some weight, it was only about 1/3 of it. In days gone by, it would have been the whole thing!
So the good news is, Beck really works. More good news is, it truly changes you.
(But the bad news is, we have this issue to deal with forever...)

Hello everyone, This is the 2nd week I am on beck diet. I strayed off track because some of the steps seemed unnecessary but I see now that I must commit 100%. In another book I read this quote - "different methods produce different results". So, I'm trying something different. This is the first 'diet' I've been on that I really felt in control, so I'm committing to it.
