True! We should not use a restaurant meal to help us judge what a normal meal should look like!

I have a friend whose husband uses the frozen dinners every night whenever he is trying to lose weight.

i got an idea at work about eating. when I took the bus daily I used to talk to a woman on the way home. she had a co-worker who lost weight by accident -- short end of the story the woman took care of her dad and did all the cooking. when he passed away, she started buying those frozen dinners for lunch and dinner (don't remember what she did for breakfast).. buy a weeks worth of low cal frozen dinners -- you know lean cuisine, Weight Watchers, etc. you can even get breakfast's frozen. throw in some fruit for snacks. easy, no mess. little planning ahead

hi!! you must be a LIbra just like me -- I am turning 59 in October!!

I am like you -- I hate planning ahead. I like doing things on impulse. I just made up my mind that if I really wanted to lose this weight I had to plan ahead. Especially since I work full time and go to the gym 6 days a week I don't have time to freeze food then have it thaw out.

I also like having colorful cards! I use colored pencils on my cards too.

For me, when I really want to do well, I track in advance. I resist doing it, but I never do as well when I don't. For me, I actually need to take "what I'm in the mood for" out of the choices. That is where I get into trouble.

Hi Team! I am on Day 28 of the Beck Diet Solution and so far I'm sticking to it. By the time I finish the six week program, I'll be turning 59 + 1 years old. Yes, that's 60. (Sigh.) There's only one aspect of the Diet that I don't follow and that's planning my meals a day ahead of time. How can I do that? I don't know what I'm going to be in the mood for 24 hours in advance. I just try to stick to the calories I'm allotted. I like making index cards (in various neon colors) with a few words on them to help motivate me in times of challenges. (Like when I think I'm starving!) I put them up all over the kitchen where most of my demons reside... sweets! Happy to be joining this group and look forward to picking up some good hints on how to stay motivated to continue this program. THANKS!

Dream it. Do it. Live it.
