I have been on Spark for several years too. I lost 30 pounds, slowly and "for the last time". Then last winter I hit a depression and regained most of it. I stopped working out and stopped caring what and how much I eat. I gave up.
I read about SP in a magazine years ago, and have been ever so thankful!
Last month I read about it again, and on one of the next pages was a woman talking about the Beck Diet Solution. I immediately ordered the book and the workbook. (Now I see one or the other would have done nicely, but oh well.)
Just the first part that I have read so far has really resonated with me. I also see that my family needs to learn a lot of the same stuff I do! My youngest child especially. He is 8 and has quite literally eaten himself sick several times. That scares me. I NEED to learn how to take care of myself so I can be better at teaching (and leading by example) for my family.
But, me first. Gotta put on MY oxygen mask first, right? And I know the only person I can change is ME. I just do hope that my changes affect my family in a positive way too.
