Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome, Judy! I have just gotten hold of The Beck Diet for Life, so have not officially started the 'diet'/lifestyle yet. But I am really fed up with trying, ever trying, to lose the pounds I gained during/after child-bearing. My kids are now 16 and 14, and I am over 40, so it's getting even harder to lose. In the last two years alone, I have gained almost 10 pounds! Something MUST change or it will only get worse. I started a boot camp class in September, but I only go once a week. I used to do walk DVDs with Leslie Sansone, and just resumed them yesterday. Otherwise, I don't get a whole lot of physical activity, though we bought a puppy during the summer and I walk him around the block occasionally (his breed is lively, but doesn't require a lot of exercise - kind of an oxymoron, I know).
In addition to being a mom, I am married, work part-time as a librarian, and pursue my love of writing. I look forward to getting to know all of you!
