I am on day 7 of the Beck Diet work book. I got stuck at the diet coach. I can say I am poor at being acountable to my diet that is probably why I have such trouble sticking to a diet. I have been a member of spark people for 412 days but have been very inconsistent. I am hoping to over come this bad habit be more accountable and more consistent. I don't have any good friend to be diet coaches. I am like Joannie I need to use this thread as my diet coach. That way I won't have an excuse to say oh well can't do this becausee I don't have a diet coach. So here I am posting on a thread being accountable. Yeah! I hope to do well on this thing.

Yes, Cindi, I'm hoping that by posting to the daily threads will keep me moving along. I will look for the book on CD. That may be something good to listen to whenever I have a long drive to make and will reinforce what I'm doing in the workbook. Good to have lots of reminders around!

I also use this team as my coach. I like using the daily threads, day 1, day 2, etc. I haven't read the Beck Diet Solution book, but did get the workbook and eventually the book on CD, so those daily threads were my guide through the process. When the Beck Complete Diet Solution (the green book) came out I got that book, but its a different format from the Beck Diet Solution. Cindi

Thanks Judi! I'm looking forward to using this team as my coach. I don't have any friends who I think would be interested in "coaching' me so I am hoping to get feedback from here and I am willing to help others as well. I will use your suggestions you posted and see where it leads me.
Hi Joannie, I'm glad you are starting the workbook. There are several of us that are also going through from Day 1 again, like a refresher, and probably some others that are just starting.
It can be confusing to know where to post! One place where people check in just to say hi and tell how life is going would be the Daily Check-In. We also have a thread called Back to Beck, and I have been using that one to say some general things about what I am doing right now to renew my Beck-ness!
We also have threads for every "Day" of Beck, which I never used much in the past, but I am now. These are right on topic for whatever day you are on. So you can share ideas with other people (and even connect with people who posted there in the past or who will post in the future.
We also have the Coaching Corner that has not been used as much lately. But it is a place to post if you have something difficult to decide that you would want to ask your diet coach. So if you have been working at this for three weeks and have not lost any weight, or if you wonder if your modification seems reasonable or not, ... or any kind of Beck problem you are trying to solve. We have a little group of "coaches" who keep an eye on that thread, and anyone is welcome to ask or answer questions.

Hi everyone, I have read the Beck Diet Solution book and I am now starting to do the workbook. There are so many threads here that I'm not sure where to post my daily progress in the workbook.
