I see you have twin boys. I would imagine that is a good reason to have gained weight!

My "babies" are 29 and almost 26, so what is my excuse?!

Welcome! I just wrote you back about the cookie crisis! I hope I wasn't too late... but whatever it is, you will be fine. All you can do is to keep trying.

I have been really out of whack, and my well-learned Beck principles are not coming to the front of my mind when I need them. I have to get with it! Maybe having you ask about these things will help me too!

Just thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I read the Beck Diet Solution when I was losing weight after I had my twin boys and found it an amazing way to lose weight! I lost 25 pounds, and it felt like no effort at all! I kept it off for over a year, but then moved half way across the country, which is stressful enough, but then found out that we couldn't buy a house right away, so we stayed with my brother and his girlfriend until we were able to buy a place. I did a lot of stress eating, and didn't pay too much attention to my weight. I gained about 15 pounds, and now am working on losing it again.

I haven't really looked at the book again, but am pulling out all my old weight loss strategies that I learned from the book. I think I'll re-read some sections as I need them. In the meantime, I've been setting mini-goals for myself. The book suggests 5 pound goals, but I've decided that having a goal to lose 2 pounds at a time works better for me. When I reach them quickly, it gives me motivation to keep going.
