You can do it.
Hi Rose, it sounds like you have a lot of thinking to do! Beck is really a great way to learn to put yourself first (or at least put yourself SOMEWHERE into the equation!)
Good luck with it!!! And welcome!
Sparkfully Yours, Judi
Dear Spark Friends, I may not always write back about everything each person posts, but I am really interested in you! If you ever need me, send me a Spark Mail and I will always answer!
I am at a turning point -- one of those times in my life when I have accomplished the goals I set for myself (whew!) but I haven't yet decided what I will do next.
Fourteen years ago, my husband and I adopted our four kids. At the time, they were ten, nine, eight and six years old. Since then, our lives have been completely wrapped up in teaching, feeding, clothing and raising some pretty terrific kids. It was a long-term crazy time and our entire focus was on them. They are in their twenties now, and the last one moved out on his own last year.
Goal Accomplished! Yay for us!
But now my life is different, and I finally have time to realize that I haven't taken care of ME for many years. I'm not even sure I remember how! Thank goodness for The Beck Solution -- I have a day by day guide to get me back to a healthy lifestyle. I'm still not sure what the future holds for us (Open a carpet store? Start a Guinea Pig rescue? Move to Nicaragua? Raise miniature horses?). but I will be ready!
Your life is not a dress rehearsal, it is the real thing. Do what makes you happy. Do it now.
