Hello, everyone! I'm new to this team and to Beck, but not to SP. I've been struggling to lose weight for the past 5+ years and am ready to really commit to change. The epiphany that this was due to my mental attitude towards food led me to Dr. Beck's books and I'm ready to change my thinking!
Background: I'm living in a small town in the West Texas desert with my hubby and our two dogs. I gained weight after we married and have 80 more lbs. to lose. I've already lost 26, but that took five years and it's always threatening to come back. We're ready for children and I'm confident that my weight is a hindrance to conception, so we're putting that on hold until I'm healthy.
I'm on Day 1 and am meeting with my weight loss coach tonight. I'm feeling very positive about this and would love any hints you have! Thanks!
