Congratulations on your re-committment. You sound a lot like me. I first purchased the book 3 years ago and then stopped following the exercises. I tried to change too much, too fast. This time, I decided last fall to just commit to getting back to exercising regularly. I joined a gym with my husband, recruited two friends to come to classes with me and have been going faithfully for 4 months. THEN I started Beck. Hi. I'm new here - to Spark and to the Beck forum. I'm just considering restarting Beck, I've done it before and it started to work for me, then I stopped doing the exercises. Lesson learned there. I think I'm going to be working from the Beck Diet for Life, rather than the Beck Diet Solution. I really need to master the skills before I even start to think about dieting. My main problem is binge eating and so what I need to focus on is controlling the compulsive eating and getting that in check. It's going to be hard, but I'm determined to do this. I'm so sick of living my life being fat and unhealthy.
