I finally got the book in the mail. It wasn't at our library (they looked at my like they had no idea what I was talking about)/ Anyway, I started the first few chapters and wrote out my reasons to lose weight card, as well as my diet plan and back up plan. I also put a sticky note on the fridge to remind me to SIT DOWN. I think that will be a tough one, but good idea. I am looking forward to this!
Hi. I'm Enjo. I just got the Beck book from my local library. I'm at the section that said get a diet coach or accountability partner. I'm a single parent with a kid going on 40 (just kidding-he's 19). Over time I let myself go and became isolated. I got depressed over a failed relationship. The book said have a friend be your coach but most of my friends are online. I want to lose more weight before jumping into real world social scene. It's a catch 22. I want more real world friends but because I am alone I eat and then I am insecure about meeting anyone in real life. One of my goals then is to get healthy and fit so I can make more real world friends. In the meantime, I came to SP to hold myself accountable and found this group! Nice to meet everyone. So far I am following the rule of only trying to lose 5 pounds at a time. The next step is making a schedule.
