Just think. Not only are you going to help yourself, but you are learning skills you can pass on and help so many others.
welcome! i feel like this was the missing link for me, too. it just helps give me practical steps for all the things i didn't know how to get done on my own. it also has been great in helping me combat my 'i can't do this' feelings. best wishes!

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
The past does not determine the future.
You have come to the right place! For me, the cognitive approach also really sounded right, and I have been doing this for about two years now. And even though I am not losing the way I did in the beginning, I have done very well overall and I feel like this is the right way to go about it!
I'm glad to see you posting and getting to know the group.
Sparkfully Yours, Judi
Dear Spark Friends, I may not always write back about everything each person posts, but I am really interested in you! If you ever need me, send me a Spark Mail and I will always answer!
I stumbled upon Judith's book while doing research for a paper for school. I am a full time student at Nazarene Bible College and will graduate in May with my degree in Christian Counseling. Then on to grad school...
It was so cool to begin reading this book and see how to apply the Cognitive-Behavioral Theory I have been learning about in school to my weight loss journey! So far I am convinced this is the missing link for me!
I have been trying to seriously lose weight off and on for about 7 years. I tend to do well for awhile and then "mess up" and decide I just can't do it. Then I go months without caring until I can't stand my own skin anymore and try again. And the cycle continues.
So ready for a change and looking to you all for your support!
