I have been losing weight and reading Spark People articles for 11 months but have just set up a spark page and gotten involved in the spark community over the past week.
I read 20 plus weight-loss books per year. The Beck Diet Solution was one of the best I read in 2008...maybe in years. I read it in about 48 hours and the only exercise I remember doing (and the only thing I remember from the book) is writing down my top motivations for losing weight on an index card and reading it for several days in a row. (I still have that card kicking around here somewhere and still read it now and then.)
With the help of this group I am going to try to S-L-O-W D-O-W-N and try to re-read the book and this time get a lot more out of it.
Over the past 11 months I have dropped 75 lbs but I still have almost 100 lbs to go and in order to continue losing and to maintain my weight loss for life I am going to have to change some habits for the better (including speed-reading through weight-loss book after weight-loss book, lol.)
