Hi all! I was really excited to find this group! I picked up the book and the workbook a little over a week ago after seeing it mentioned several times from a really motivational member (ANEPANALIPTI). I decided to give it a try.
I'd already been following a eating and exercise plan (go C25K!!) so I kept that up, but I totally credit the book with an 8lb weight loss over Christmas! I didn't so much as lick my fingers while making Christmas dinner. Sitting down and reading my Response Cards before every meal has just made it seem so easy. The other night I had planned for a small piece of pumpkin pie. It was in my planner and a part of my daily calorie range. I found that I was still full though at 7:30 which is when I was planning on eating it. I struggled at first going back and forth between thinking "Well I'm not hungry. I shouldn't eat if I'm not hungry." and "But...It's on my plan! I'm ALLOWED to eat it!" I experienced some cravings but following the book, I finally DECIDED that I wasn't going to eat it since I wasn't hungry. I put it on my plan instead for the next day and gave myself credit for following the plan!
