Thanks Chole. Congrats on your loss of single-ness. That's nice. I know how depression can really cramp one's motivation - hang in there. I've tried to lose weight for years and it just doesn't seem to budge. Recording food and activity while being stringently honest is such an important part to keeping on track. It's been an education. I look forward each day to finishing in my range - not less, not more. My knee has actually been feeling better with acupuncture, PT and cortisone are getting me moving again. The ortho told me to hold off until my 60s if I can do it for the replacement. Part of the deal is just getting older. I'm really feeling different no it's menopause time. I miss my estrogen :-)
Anyway, see you on the Daily Vent. Thanks for listening.

I'm Chole and I've been with the team for quite some time, long enough I'm no longer single. LOL I live in Lubbock, TX and have been on SP for over 5 years and joined this team at that time. I have seen a lot of women pass through here and we were pretty dead for a long time. Right now it looks like we are building up again and we have new members that are chatting now and again so please don't get discouraged with us when we are quiet, we'll be back.
I am 53 and have a goal of losing around 120-130 lbs. I recommitted to this journey last week as I had regained about 60 lbs that I had lost over the last couple of years due to depression. I am working on kicking myself out of it right now and trying to not fall back into it.
I know that losing weight does make the impact on the knees less severe and I truly hope losing the extra pounds postpones the knee replacement.
Come into the Daily Vent thread. That is the defacto chat thread. LOL

Checking in to introduce myself. I'm 54 and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am one month in to my goal of losing 50 lbs. - 8 so far. Biggest motivation is postponing knee replacement as long as possible. I really appreciate the Spark tools, I keep finding new ones. Take care everyone!
