Thu, 11 Aug 2011 22:37:40 EST Glad to join this forum Hello. I am happy to find this forum for nurses. Sometimes I feel that the stresses i deal with are hard to express. I think most of you here probably may know what I am talking about. I have been on my weight loss journey (this time) since Feb 3rd. As of this morning I have lost 48 pounds. That is slightly over half way for me. It seems both slow progress, but at the same time a huge difference. I've been a nurse for 5 years... just a blip compared to some careers. I work on a Med-Surg unit in a 100-bed hospital in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I can't wait to get involved in this team because I feel we face unique hurdles to eating healthy while working. Lets face it, for 12 hours a day we want to eat as quick as we can and the most comforting food that will give us enough energy to make it through the rest of the day. For me, I have a 1-hour commute to get to work and again to ... Fri, 5 Aug 2011 11:18:49 EST sleep work exercise? So I barely slept before work... approx 5 hrs. My name is Lacey. I am an RN, and I 'plan' on going back to school in the near future to further my career. (We all know how most people's 'plans' to go back to school are, LOL) My husband and I have decided that we are tired of being fat.
