And as things were starting to settle down, my oldest dog Duke got really sick and almost died. He started to go through kidney failure, due to an infection. So, just as he made a miraculous recovery, and I thought everything was better, he started having seizures. The vet thinks it is ... Thu, 4 Sep 2008 16:50:31 EST New to Team Hello All,

I realized I didn't introduce myself. I'm belonged to SP since Feb and I love Disneyland. I'm lucky that I only live 15 minutes away and my husband and I have season passes so we go when we can squeeze in an couple of hours of fun. We went last week for our 3rd anniversery last Wed., and learned not to stay on the California side when the park closes. It took us an hour to walk from the Ferris wheel in California to Pirates in Disneyland due to the fireworks crowd. ... I live on the Central Coast of California and wish that I lived a little closer to the Happiest Place on Earth so that I could take a little bit more advantage of my annual pass. Although luckily my family members are also disney-holics so we make the trek down south several times a year! Sat, 19 Jul 2008 10:34:11 EST new Hello all! I am new to this team. I was a member of SP before and left the site. I decided to come back. I was the most successful when using this site. Once I left I put some of the weight back on. I am a 26 year old single mother. My son is 7 years old. I am from Torrance,California. My son and I both love Disneyland and all things Disney. We are annual passholders. Just thought I would stop by and say hi and introduce myself. This is a new game I borrowed from a Disney World team I am part of. I thought it would be fun to play it here, and easier since I know Disneyland better than Disneyworld.

This game will challenge your knowledge of the Disneyland and California Adventure or even Downtown Disney as well as your creativity to move Mickey around.

Take Mickey from his last destination to a nearby attraction/ride, store, restaurant and leave him there for the next person to pick him up. <... My son and I have annual passes and will be going Next month and staying at the hotel for a few days (he loves to stay at the hotel even though we live only 30min away). I just joined SP a few days ago. Before I had lost almost 20lbs but then i gained about 8 or so back. My goal is to lose about 30 more pounds. Fri, 13 Jun 2008 13:34:48 EST Walking Disneyland I found this really cool website that will measure my walking based off my pedometer.... I plugged in
an average 14 hour day at disneyland and even went conservative on walking speed it came up with a burn
of calories as 2,956 now that is not taking into consideration time on rides, lol.... but a good number it came out to 28 miles a day at the park.
Anyone else ever calculate that?

n.php Sun, 8 Jun 2008 12:40:03 EST "You've Won a Spot in the Toy Story Mania!" Wed, 30 Apr 2008 16:14:25 EST do you ever feel like this...? Ok, so I'm making progress and forcing myself to go for walks while I'm at my parents (even though I hate walking...i miss the gym 39 )But I am finding the food thing really hard (surprise surprise). I guess maybe it's because I'm not in control of the food so much. I mean mum always serves really healthy meals, but ther are so many things in this house that I can snack on and it's shown me how little will power I have.

So now I'm feeling discouraged, and even though it'... Every day, you post three things, they are:

1. Something you did wrong/badly today.
2. Something you did really well today.
3. Something that happened today that made you feel good.

I found it really helps, because when you admit something that you did 'wrong' (so to speak) you don't carry around the guilt and then (as I do) eat the gu... Mon, 31 Mar 2008 00:28:50 EST new My name is tiffany and I LOVE DISNEYLAND! I've been going there since I was little (raised in LA county, now residing in SD county). I currently own an Annual Pass (thanks to my BF hehe).

I joined SP in the middle of my weight loss journey. I've lost almost 18 pounds so far and would like to lose about 10-15 more. Then it'll all about be maintaining my healthier lifestyle Fri, 28 Mar 2008 11:00:58 EST Patriotic Small World ride at DL? Anybody hear about this? I'd been watching the news and the moment I had to go to the bathroom they brought up this story I'd been watching the news for.

Something about "ripping out the rainforest" and "making it more patriotic" with some people thinking instead changing "New Orleans square" to add a patriotic ride.

Personally I love Small World as-is, but don't really know what's going on. Anybody know? Wed, 26 Mar 2008 20:53:52 EST Earth Day Challenge! So, here is our new challenge. It is about eating enough fruits and veggies. Fri, 21 Mar 2008 20:45:54 EST Disney A-Z Ok, this is a game I saw on another message board. Basically, you go through the alphabet one at a time and think of something to do with disney that starts with that letter. You can't skip a letter and you can't repeat something someone else has said. Once we get to Z you go back to A and keep going...let's see how many times we can go through the alphabet before we run out of things! I'll start with A...

Aladdin Wed, 19 Mar 2008 00:04:56 EST Hidden Mickeys Okay, with a team full of Disneyland Lovers, there has to be someone on here who kows how many hidden mickeys there are at DIsneyland, or at least where some of the are. Fri, 22 Feb 2008 12:25:28 EST St. Patricks Day Can we start a new challenge of making sure to do one exercise daily?? I always use the weather as an excuse, when I could be doing things inside to keep moving, and I think having a challenge daily will keep me going. Anyone else in??? Tue, 12 Feb 2008 16:11:34 EST NEED SOME ADVICE!!! So, I need a little advice. I have been doing really well lately, eating right, within my calorie range, exercising a lot, drinking water, etc. However I can't seem to bust this plateau. This challenge is about drinking enough water. Any one and everyone can participate. Set a goal for yourself about how much water you want to drink. It can be number of cups per day or a total amount of water for the next 10-11 days.

I always have a hard time drinking enough water when it's colder outside. It really is the happiest place on earth! Everytime I go, I get the same nostalgic feelings that I did when I went as a kid. I love every single ride! Disneyland is truly a place like no other. I grew up in SoCal, so my mom used to take us once a week when we were really little! We'd do a different land every week. Since moving to NorCal, I haven't been able to go as often as I'd like to, but I still try to make it down there as much as I can. I would love to, ev... Fri, 11 Jan 2008 05:51:22 EST Some Trivia I learned this on my trip to Disneyland this weekend.

Where can you go in Disneyland to actually stand in another state? And what state is it?
Tue, 18 Dec 2007 16:50:54 EST Disneyland @ Christmas- Advice? I'm going with my bf and his family on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day and I'm starting to worry about the crowds! We went several years ago on the day after Xmas and it was pretty crowded, nothing that ruined the trip though. Does anyone know if it's worse than normal on the 24th and 25th? Somehow, I'm hoping we're the only ones crazy enough to spend the days at a theme park- albeit the granddaddy of all theme parks, but still!

Advice on ways to beat the crowds? Hi friends! Seems like this summer/early fall has been a difficult period for many. It's a little comforting to know I'm not alone. I gained back 5 of the pounds I had lost over the last 5 months... depressing. But I'm working out hard now and trying to get back in shape. I've missed all my disneyland enthusiasts here and can't wait to be a participant again. Tue, 13 Nov 2007 16:10:47 EST I'm back! So, over the summer I got lazy about keeping up with Sparkpeople. I still ate right, but didn't exercise as much. Then in the end of July I moved out of my house (which I had been living in for almost 14 years) and from there things went a little crazy. I think it was just the change in environment that sabatoged my new lifestyle. Some days I would eat well, then the next would be no so great. And of course the month of October was the hardest (I am a HUGE Halloween person). The pants a... Mon, 12 Nov 2007 22:04:55 EST Spark Program How is everyone doing on thier program? If you do not have a least favorite, what is the first ride to go from your list on a busy day?

My favorite is the Haunted Mansion and least favorite is the Storybook Land Canals. I do not know why, I just do not care for that ride! Neither of them own it but it is there for them to use.
We are just loving it so far. Wed, 30 May 2007 23:02:54 EST Best Memory I have a few but one of my favorites was walking down main street the first day (2004) with my son, husband and mom. It was my sons first trip and when he saw the castle he was so excited it brought tears to my eyes, and seeing me cry made my mom cry. Kinda the whole Circle of Life thing, watching a new generation fall in love with Disney was great and being at the Happiest Place on Earth with the ones you love the most. Tue, 1 May 2007 18:35:01 EST I just had a thought... You know what we should do? We should have a disneyland lovers mini-convention/reunion type thing at disney land to celebrate our weight loss when we've all reached goal!
Although that being said, i wonder how the park would cope with a gaggle of fun-seeking disneyland addicts! lol Fri, 27 Apr 2007 03:57:15 EST Scrapbooking Disney Trips I don't know if any of you scrapbook, but I love it and I have about 4 Disney trips to do. I take so many pics, and collect so many suvineers that if I scrapped nothing but Disney trips it would probably take me atleast a year to complete. I have to start a 40 page book for my in-laws for mother/fathers day of the trip we just took. As much as I love Disney and scrapbooking, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with a time crunch and the amount I have to do.

Does anyone else love sc... I'm just wondering if anyone else has people look at them as though they're insane when you talk about Disney. I feel as though Disney makes me like a child again. My husband loves Disneyland, but he's not obsessed with everything Disney as I am. If there are two kinds of cereal in the store to buy and ones Disney, I'm going to choose that one first....if I had the option of going to a Disney movie in the theater or a adult rated R movie...I'd choose Disney. There is just something so spe... Sat, 21 Apr 2007 20:48:57 EST Favorite Disney Character and Why? My favorite character would have to be Goofy. I used to pretend that I was married to Goofy when I was little and my cabbage patch kids were my kids.

I also love Simba...because Lion King is my favorite movie and Eeyore. Eeyore is so sweet and can never catch a heart goes out to him. He was also my sons favorite when he was little and that holds a special place in my heart. Mon, 16 Apr 2007 16:55:40 EST Meet the Robinsons If you have not seen this movie go see it especially in the 3D it was a disney classic and had a wonderful story behind it. Mon, 16 Apr 2007 11:01:54 EST How old were you? I was 5 my first trip to Disneyland and it was over Easter Sunday weekend. I was more concerned about the easter bunny not finding me in my hotel, than going to the park.

Remember when you used to be able to go for just one or maybe two days tops? Sun, 15 Apr 2007 20:27:56 EST Favorite Ride at Disney Californian Adventure? I absolutely love Soarin'. I think it has to be one of the most creative, imagined ride there. Everytime I ride it-it takes my breath away.

My husband loves Tower of Terror, and as great and unique as that ride scares the crap out of me. I didn't even ride it last time. It's wasn't worth the fear to me. Sat, 14 Apr 2007 01:08:04 EST Club 33 Has anyone had the awesome experience of going to Club 33 located about the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square? (True fans will already know about this ;)) It's pretty fantastic. You have to be a member or have a reservation made by a member and basically your entrance into the park is free with the reservation (and the meager price of your meal at about $100 a plate) The food is gourmet and exquisite. It's the only place you can get alcohol in the park (champagne breakfast is the best!) Plus y... My name is Christina and I'm 23 years old. I live in sunny southern California with my bf and our 9 month old son. I love Disneyland! (I must I mean I worked there for 5 years and still love the place.) I was an AP forever and then became a Cast Member just before California Adventure opened. I worked at Taste Pilots Grill on opening day of DCA. I also worked in Guest Relations and Fantasyland Attractions while at the Resort. Thu, 22 Mar 2007 11:49:13 EST
