Many of the drops for this disease are very hard to put in your eyes with RA, the disease has caused damage and ulcers to my cornea, many times they get infected. Someone on this site a year ago recommended "Fit Flops" and I am here to tell you they are the most wonderful shoes for my tender tootsies. I take vitamins, exercise, drink a lot of water and try and get enough sleep to keep daily pain/flare ups at bay - however, I am wondering what all of you do when you have a night time flare up and if you also have fever like symptoms? <BR> I am trying hard not to use medication if I can - I worry that I have already taken too many advil, tylenol, asprin and aleve in my lifetime.....but when I have a night time flare up, especially when I start to feel feverish I usually give in and get some... Then BAM no matter how much sleep I get fatigue hits and I can barley function. It is frustrating, I find a medication that helps with all the pain and stiffness. She gave me lyrica to help with the pain and numbness in my feet for now. Anyway I'm 41 and have three kids 23, 21 and 10 along with a grandson who will be 1 soon. The only one I've tried is to use a baking soda mouth wash (for internal sores) and a baking soda paste (applied to the lips)...I have to say that this worked like a charm for me. My neighbor gave me some turmeric tea which is touted to be good for inflammation so I had some tonight plus giving my feeties a peppmint oil bath and I feel improved somewhat. Well, I know that I have low immunity because of being on meds. for my RA, but haven't had diarrhea until about a month ago. I would think that it's caused by the low immunity. The last few years it really hurts my upper arm when the nurse at the doctor's office takes my blood pressure. I mean really hurts not just a little pressure.
