It's my first time on SP Hello everyone, I'm new here but this forum looks perfect for me. My little girl will be 1 this month. She's walking already, so I'm going to cheat and consider her a toddler. :-) I was lucky enough to lose the baby weight, so I don't have a weight loss goal, but I desperately need to tone up. It is so hard to find time to exercise with a little one, especially with the weather getting colder every day! I'm hoping this site will motivate me and give me some creative ideas. Thanks! I am happily married with two beautiful children. I used to be a soldier in the Army, and was in the best shape of my life, however, 7 years of marriage and 2 kids later, I am 50 pounds above what I was when I was in my best physical shape.

The craziest thing is that after I had my first child, I did lose all the baby weight, however, af... I have been big all my life, but this is too much. I need to teach my children the loves of my life healthy eating habits and I really am getting tired of not being able to play with them as much as I like because of my weight. I am hoping anyone out their can help Fri, 21 Mar 2008 10:55:21 EST At what age did your toddler move out of the crib? I recently bought my 17 month old DD a toddler bed. I think she is almost ready to move into it, but I'm not sure what the signs are. She has a very distinct bedtime and happily goes to bed at night. However, her naps are not at all predictable. Some days she naps once for 2-3 hours...some day twice for 1-2 hours each.

I'm looking for some mommy input. At what age did you move your kid out of their crib? What were your struggles and successes.

Thanks ladies. I app... Sun, 16 Mar 2008 13:02:36 EST DD's first time at gym daycare Actually, it was her first time at any type of daycare at all. She's 13 months and an only child. I went to the gym this morning and took her to the daycare there, kind of apprehensive. Darn kid didn't even blink an eye that I was leaving. They had toys, so I was obsolete! LOL Thu, 13 Mar 2008 02:24:02 EST newbie here Well, sort of a newbie. I have been here for weeks, but just finished my page and have started to leave some postings.

Nice to meet you all.

Michele Wed, 12 Mar 2008 17:43:45 EST Hi! Hi! Just stopping by to introduce myself -- I am 27-years old, married to an amazing husband and have a beautiful almost 2-year old daugther. I tried SparkPeople back in November but found I couldn't motivate myself enough to get to the gym, eat healthy, etc. I'm hoping to give it a try again and be successful! I work full-time as a Nanny (for a 2-year old & a 4-year old) and get to take my daugther with me, which is awesome! Good luck to everyone in losing their weight -- I know I need ... Tue, 11 Mar 2008 09:22:44 EST ages 2 and 4 military wife and mother of 2 girls. ages 2 amd 4. they keep me on my toes Sat, 8 Mar 2008 21:46:02 EST HI :) I am new to this team. I am the proud parent of a DD who turned two on Dec. 26. She keeps me very busy, of course. She can't talk much yet, but she surely manages to get her point across! Wed, 5 Mar 2008 20:48:43 EST Fluctuating weight I heard that Jenny Craig dropped Kirstie Alley because she gained weight back. I guess I can understand because I'm sure she had a contract that said she had to keep it off. The thing I don't like is that the media makes it sound so bad. I lost 40 lbs two years ago and I have put 30 lbs back on. I sympathize with her because I know how hard it is. I am keeping positive though because I want this to be the last time I am going to meet my goal weight and stick to it. I know I can do it! Sun, 24 Feb 2008 20:59:14 EST Toddlers and the scale That dreaded monster in the corner of the bathroom seems to not only affect DH and me, but my babies too. I've noticed that my DD (almost 4) does the same thing I do most mornings (step on the scale). Should I be concerned?

She's 35 pounds, quite tall for her age, and has plenty of energy that she always runs and runs and runs. I think she just thinks the beeping noises are fun...and also mimicking mommy...any ideas or insight is greatly appreciated. Tue, 19 Feb 2008 16:17:29 EST MO mom of 2 toddlers Hi! I'm mom to a beautiful daughter (will be 4 in April) and a handsome son (2 1/2). They definitely keep me on my toes and also remind me that life is short and that I need to take the time to slow down and enjoy (and often dance to the exit music on movies with them). Tue, 19 Feb 2008 16:13:53 EST Tips...e haustion I have 2 yr old twins...does anyone have any tips on how they deal with constant exhaustion? This is starting to interfere with my working out, because I am so tired I can't get up and go to the gym half the time. It is discouraging. Wed, 13 Feb 2008 19:04:18 EST New to SP and this group! I am really bad at follow through, so I'm hoping to stick with it this time. Looking forward to all the support! Fri, 8 Feb 2008 11:59:20 EST How do you get in your cardio indoors? With the weather being the way it's been lately, I can't take the girls out to the playground or on walks like we normally would.

So - what's your preferred method of getting a good cardio workout when you're stuck in the house?

So far I've been trying to do some of the cardio stuff on On Demand but I haven't quite been able to find anything that I truly enjoy. Thu, 15 Nov 2007 16:29:50 EST Can't keep my toddler off my elliptical There is just something appealing about this machine that makes him want to use it as a jungle gym. I do worry about him getting hurt but he also messes with my miles and timing because as soon as you move the pedals, it starts the monitor.

Before, I had a treadmill in the house and every time I turned around, he was running on it. That was good because it would wear him out. It was manual so he couldn't really get hurt on it, but boy did he love to run.

Do any of you ha... Tue, 17 Apr 2007 23:46:52 EST Just joined this group and introducing myself... Hi everyone,

My name is Heather. I am 26, with two kids, 3 years (April 23, 2004) and 1 month old (March 4, 2007). Both are girls, and I am trying my best to get into shape so that I can be around for them for a long time. I am glad to have found this group, and I look forward to losing the weight together! I've tried just waking him up after an hour but he's even grumpier then when I laid him down.
<BR... Wed, 11 Apr 2007 23:21:10 EST Introducing myself... Wed, 4 Apr 2007 15:00:23 EST Favorite Family Meals What are some healthy family meals that your toddlers love? A favorite around our house is baked chicken with peas and mashed potatoes. My kids also love my layered fruit salad. I make them name all of the colors and the types of fruits when I make it. Yummy and educational!

45 Tue, 27 Mar 2007 11:31:38 EST Toddler/Parents and Excercise What kind of exercise do you do that involves you're toddler(s)? 104 Wed, 21 Mar 2007 14:21:07 EST
