SparkPeople 100 Plus Pounds to Lose Team Messageboard This team is all about encouraging each other on our journey to lose 100 or more pounds. SparkPeople 100 Plus Pounds to Lose Team Messageboard Staying on track I've been away from SparkPeople for a while, but I haven't lost sight of my goal - and I want to share how I've been doing. When I started here I weighed in at 360 pounds and losing anything seemed completely hopeless. I also had a lot working against me - my knees are not the greatest so any form of exercise is difficult. Top that off with being an extremely picky eater who doesn't really like a lot of food types.

But I was persistent and I am thrilled to say that I'm now down... It is for men and women who are single and want some extra support dealing with singlehood issues. Fri, 29 May 2015 12:49:26 EST Any single people out there? Are any of you single? Is anyone else sick of people only seeing the weight and not wanting to even get to know you? Sometimes I think that you could tell potential dates that you have some horrible criminal record and you'd be treated with more compassion than being overweight. Like it is really the worse thing in the world.. *sigh*.. I was thinking of starting a team with singles who have 100+ lbs to lose or maybe even 50+... would anyone be interested?
It wouldn't be to meet people bu... I rejoined a few months ago and am now looking for teams that can really help me keep motivated. I have 102 lbs to reach my ultimate goal of 165 lbs. I don't expect to lose it over night. I know it'll take time. It took me 8 years to put on the weight. But I'm 57 years old and would love to see myself at goal before I turn 60. Since menopause, it's extremely hard for me to stay on track. I get muddled thinking at times and due to a lot of lower... Sun, 20 Apr 2014 12:23:05 EST June Chatter! Not only was it hamburgers and hot dogs, but there was a ton of junk food: candy, brownies, cake, chips, ice cream, soda, etc. And I wanted to eat it soooo bad! But since I didn't pay, I didn't have that as an option. I had included 100 calorie packs of cookies and some popsicles into my plan for the day, so I wasn't deprived. Fri, 11 Jan 2008 17:53:27 EST It's me I'm here and ready to lose. Thu, 10 Jan 2008 22:51:17 EST New guy, to spark and to the group..Hiya Hi New guy checking in,

There comes a time in all mens lives when they take a step back and reevaluate things, that happened to this man a few weeks ago when he felt fear for the first time in his adult life. that fear stared him in the face and told him that that it was high noon and time to make a decision when this man researched a weight loss surgery and started reading things like "death" as a side affect of these surgeries.

He is an early 30's father and husband th... Thu, 10 Jan 2008 18:27:45 EST 2 parter - 2008 goals and realistic weight loss? Hi everyone! I am trying to set a realistic yet strong goal for myself in the year 2008...but I'm not sure how much weight is 'average', 'normal', or achieveable in a year?

I currently weigh 384, and I was going to try for a nice even 100 lb weight loss in 2008.

What are your 2008 goals and do you think mine is doable?

Thank you!! Thu, 27 Dec 2007 00:56:04 EST Herro!! :) I'm not new to Sparkpeople, but I am new to this group. At my highest weight several years ago, I was 308 lbs. I remember feeling ashamed of myself because they had to stick me on an industrial scale to weigh me. I lost some weight and got down to 242 lbs, but then it came back. I went from 280 lbs down to 274 in a year's time (big deal, right?) but now I'm on a mission, people! (big smile) I am now under 250 lbs and I love it that I'm down one weight bar on the manual scale. (Can't wait u... Mon, 3 Dec 2007 14:30:44 EST My Christmas Gift To All Who Will Recieve It.... I took a college course in Hypnosis to learn how to tackle my weight problem at the subconcious level. I have lost 20 pounds since I started using hypnosis. I am going to share a self hypnosis weight loss script with all of you. You simply need to record it on a cassette player, and listen to it for every day for the first 30 days, and then only several times a week thereafter until you have reached your weight loss goal. When you record your tape, speak softly and slowly into the microphone... Sun, 21 Oct 2007 22:48:33 EST Hello All Hello I am pretty New to this and I want to lose 188 Pounds altogether I lost 12 So far! Sun, 7 Oct 2007 21:09:05 EST Hi all! I'm rejoining SP, this is my second time. I have a lot of weight to lose still; I started out at 350 and I'm down to 270. Thu, 4 Oct 2007 12:03:18 EST Back again.... I'm back everyone. I have quite a few pounds to lose and wanted to get back in here. I have about 93 or more lbs I'd like to lose to get and feel healthy.

I look forward to getting to meet you all.

Rebekah Tue, 2 Oct 2007 15:28:27 EST I found another weight loss tool that works! I joined Sparkpeople over a year ago, and set my goals to lose 100 pounds initially by August 2007. The year came and went, and I was basically at the same weight when August rolled around, as when I started. Obviously, my original intentions hadn’t seen me through, and when I finally logged back in to Sparkpeople, and saw what I had intended and what I had lacked to accomplish, I was pretty disgusted with myself. I was determined to make some changes, and to do what I had failed to do up to... Mon, 17 Sep 2007 10:39:49 EST Here I am! :) Hello everyone!! I am a 29 y/o school teacher with about 140 lbs to lose and 20 of it down already :) I find it to be the most difficult thing in the world to do and it's going soooo slowly, there are days i don't think it'll ever happen (ok, most days) but I keep moving forward and I've learned a lot over the last year and putting those things into's just hard to do. The biggest thing is needing support and people who understand the challenges. Sun, 9 Sep 2007 12:23:32 EST back in the saddle Hey everyone,

I've been lurking around for almost a year now. But for one reason or another haven't been active much until now. But now I am *ready*. :)

Looking forward to the group support and making new friends here.

I maintain a presence here and on and I also run 3 meetup groups (a walking group, a cooking group, a Christian woman's group) in the NoVA area. I'm available on IM during the day to chat (computer geek!) if you need supp... Tue, 4 Sep 2007 13:17:56 EST Hi. I'm Michelle and I weigh 254#s. I would love to lose down to 135 before it's all said and done but I am trying to do it one small goal at a time. So far I've lost 13#s and I feel great about myself. I can't wait till the weight is gone and my feet quit hurting everytime I stand up. Mon, 3 Sep 2007 21:59:45 EST
