Like at 7:30! I live alone so I can do that. My internal clock is just determined to wake me up at about 2-3 am every morning so I decided instead of fighting it I would just work on the other end of things. I put on the a/c set to 68 degrees cuz they say cold rooms make sleep more likely and cover all electronic blue lights so the room is totally dark--I even cover the digital clock radio. So far ... New to this forum and trying it out.
I've had my second sleep study in ten years. Both resulted in sleep apnea treatments. The first was a machine that used a mask, then smaller successions of masks down to nose pillows that blew air down my throat that I couldn't tolerate. Did it for over two years and finally gave it up. Now i wear an appliance that creates a situation where my lower jaw juts out. Now on my fourth month. Tolerating this very well. I no longer snore. BUT I still ha... Mon, 22 Feb 2016 11:56:23 EST I'm back...and starting all over again http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x6162x63706988 Hi there, I originally signed up to Sparkpeople a few years ago with the plan to lose weight and get healthy. I did lose about 40 lbs by eating healthy, working out regularly and feeling really good and on the right path. However in the last few years, I was a PhD student writing a dissertation which I had pressure to finish (and I did finish - yay) and then having to work - because much of my work has me sitting behind a computer, I have gained the 40 lbs plus back. I am trying to motiva... I am hoping to lose 10 pounds and recently joined LA Fitness. I have a problem with "sticking to it" and coming up with excuses NOT to workout. I hope to find an accountability partner who will help me. My plan is very simple....for the first 30 days, I just want to get to the gym 3 times a week. The plan sounds simple, but the Devil is always busy..LOL. Thank you all for your support and have ... Tue, 16 Feb 2016 10:38:34 EST So glad I found Spark People http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x6162x63661405 My first concern with my weight happened at the end of 9th grade when I got on the scale and I weighed 130. My weight quickly continued to rise from there. My twin was always significantly smaller and the overt comparisons very painful. I have lost between 20-60 lbs. so many times. The longest I have maintained my weight was 1 1/2 years when I stayed between a size 0-4. It was glorious to find out how skinny people live. However, it was all consuming to maintain. I have clothes in my clo... Fri, 12 Feb 2016 22:03:31 EST Does anyone have problems with oversleeping? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x6162x63651733 Hi. I'm Diana. And I oversleep. I know that this is as bad for you as undersleeping. I have a horrible time falling asleep at night, particularly when I know I have to get up the next day. Last night, for example, I didn't fall asleep until after 2, and I needed to be up around 8. I tried to get up. I really did. I have three alarms and use wakeupdialer.com. I still turned my alarms off in my sleep, or slept through them, and missed my phone call. I woke up at 9:20 for a 9:30 appointment, so ... I've been self-defeating myself thinking I can do this alone. Now five years later no results. I'm hoping to be held accountable...Yes, I know it shouldn't take all of this yet apparently it does for me. I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I need to lose 60lbs to accomplish my ideal weight. Now that I've turned 46 years of age a few weeks ago, I do not want to have another failed year. Ambien, laying in my bed and surfing on the web with my laptop. I figured I would get sleepy, put my laptop down and get a great night sleep!
Instead, I woke around 4:30 am, slid my tongue over my teeth and around my mouth and realized my mouth was full of something, but I knew I had brushed my teeth last night.
... I started out at 230 lbs and had the gastric bypass done 4 years ago. I got myself down to 125 lbs. I started neglecting my excersizing and also found foods that agree with me without me getting sick. I found myself gaining weight. I am currently at 155 lbs. I desperately need to find a healthy diet that will help me get back to 125 lbs. along with getting back into the gym. I hope to get to know all of you and to get some tips.
Thank you,
Sherri Sat, 24 Oct 2015 21:43:01 EST Hi I'm Erika! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x6162x62810947 Hi, my name is Erika and I am 22. I'm a bit over weight, but nothing serious, no sleep apnea, depression or any other condition that could affect my sleep. But I have a sleep efficiency of about 30%. Most nights I get under 3 hours of sleep despite spending 8 hours in bed. I'm not sure what to do, and I'm tired all of the time. This has been a problem for years, but I only recently have started actually tracking my sleep. We've taken the plunge into homeschooling this year and have also begun to live simply. Very exciting and new!!!

As to my weight issues...well, they've so... Really hoping to improve my fitness and lose a chunk of weight for the big hikes August 15. Never feel good, exhausted, headaches, bad right knee. This feels overwhelming, but I do want it.
I have tried before, but about two weeks in, I cave due to work, time pressures, pain and exhaustion. I am at that point right now...what are some things you have done to get past that hurdle? I used this program for motivation to lose weight and to stay physically healthy and to look as Fit as possible, as I got older. Then I got extra busy, and slowly fell back to my old lazy self.
I am still working, traveling the roads of the Southeast. My goals are to get back in shape and hopefully stay that way. I know it will be a lot easier to do following Spark People. I will keep you posted as to my Progress, from time to time. It has a part on the back where you can flip it open and take the metal part out and clean it. Well, I took it apart, and when I put it back together, it started to leak. I have tried EVERYTHING I know, including sealing the leaks with Silly Putty, and it's STILL LEAKING.

I called the company from where I get my CPAP supplies from, and I'm not eligible for a new water reservoir until the 19th of this month.
