Tue, 25 Nov 2014 09:53:57 EST Hi Hi

I realise this team isn't very active at the mo but, just in case anyone is here or someone new turns up I thought I'd introduce myself as I just joined the team today.

I have been on the Beat Candida diet for 7 weeks and, while researching it this afternoon, it became apparent that a little more is needed than I am currently doing. So I have ordered "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" and will (I think) be doing that diet as soon as I have some more details. I understand... Wed, 19 Nov 2014 11:12:57 EST Are you questioned why you do SCD? Have any of you come across people who don't understand why you're following SCD or think that it's all bogus? Tue, 9 Sep 2014 22:53:40 EST How has SCD helped you? Just wanting to hear how this diet has helped you all. My daughter is following SCD for 26 months now, with a few slip ups along the way and we have seen such a change in her. We do the diet for her because of some gut issues with autism. I wasn't "officially" aware of the diet, until DEBBY4576 mentioned it. I just started reading about this diet, and it seems like something that can really help me. I just want to feel better. Wed, 2 Apr 2014 08:26:56 EST New to team Hi! Although not on SCD I am aware of it and have recommended it to clients in the past (nutritional consultant.) I am looking for a smaller team to connect with and am open to eventually implementing this diet! 9 Wed, 12 Mar 2014 16:06:40 EST Intro Hi I am a mom of 4 one with Cystic Fibrosis. He is the youngest and the spoiled one! lol I Struggle every day trying to get his calories in and still make it healthy. 4 Fri, 7 Mar 2014 18:07:30 EST Just thought I'd offer a heads-up Someone was enquiring about GAPs and SCD out on the open forums... our favorite dietitian responded that SP doesn't support diets not grounded in the usual SAD (it wasn't worded exactly that way, but that was the gist).

I came behind and said this forum exists, at least.
Just thought others might like a bit of forewarning.

Who knows what might ensue - although, knowing the level of tolerance for LC on SP in general... well...

~v~ Thu, 20 Feb 2014 20:57:16 EST New and Starting Soon! I have a yogurmet yogurt maker. I love the final product, but when I use it after the first time, a liquid forms on top of the yogurt. I just am not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this happens for everyone. Any experience or advice is greatly appreciated! Tue, 22 Oct 2013 17:26:04 EST New to SCD Hi everyone I've just been diagnosed with collengous colits and have started on medication and have decided to try this diet because medication does have side effects. I just want to feel better. Thanks coppergirl Fri, 18 Oct 2013 17:35:11 EST Bedtime drinks Pre-SCD I generally used to have hot chocolate - since milk and cocoa are both illegal, that's not viable now.

Has anyone got any suggestions for a nice warm, soothing, comfort-type drink that will help me settle down for the night?

My main hot drink at the moment is green tea, but that is just too thin to fit the bill at night time for me Mon, 12 Aug 2013 09:29:32 EST Legal and Illegal Foods...q uestions! Hey everyone! I have a couple questions that I'm hoping someone already knows the answer to..:)

Is Calcium silicate allowed on the diet? I found it in garlic salt but haven't been able to find anything about it specifically.

Has anyone had issues with tomatoes? I'm worried that I made kick-butt homemade tomato sauce and it may have caused my symptoms to come back. But I love tomatoe's so I'm hoping it was something else.

Thoughts? Thanks! Wed, 7 Aug 2013 10:16:58 EST Off on holiday I'm off for 10 days 104

Going to be interesting food-wise....... I'm going with 2 friends, one is on a hospital-provided diet which is broadly similar to SCD but doesn't allow any dairy or legumes and does allow parsnips and turnips. The other friend eats anything and everything........

Because of the friend on the hospital-provided diet, I stand a fair chance of meals being SCD-compliant without too much problem. You never know, might even come back with...
