SparkPeople UNEMPLOYED Team Messageboard http://www.sparkpeople.com/assets/nav/nav_logo_v3.gif http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_individual.asp?gid=55589 hello! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x55589x57902228 Hi everyone,

I recently graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. I'm February, when I graduated, I felt like the world was my oyster. Now, several months later I am finding it extremely difficult to get the career I seek. In January, I had my final college course where I got to walk around Paris, Prague, Berlin, and Amsterdam. When I came home from that trip I had lost 5 lbs from walking about 5 miles a day and eating less. I weighed myself in at 14... Sat, 17 May 2014 08:40:34 EST Starting out another week http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x55589x56424628 Well it is time to get started on another week and I have motivation. I lost an additional 3 pounds this week. That makes 6 from my beginning point. I can do this!

If I can get the weight back down then I can plan and move forward on the job search and generating income plan. It helps to build goals and see them coming about.

My first goal for weight loss was 10 pounds in 10 weeks. This is week 2 and I am down 6 pounds. I will begin thinking about the next small go... Sparks considers this team inactive. Is there anyone who would like to regenerate this into an active weight loss and support group activity? Sat, 4 Jan 2014 14:01:43 EST How to get back on track in interviews? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x55589x48827643 There always seems to be at least one question in my interviews that throws me for a loop. Sometimes it is a common question such as "What is your greatest weakness?" and other times it is an unexpected question like "I see you have a Theatre degree. What are you doing applying here?" I'm curious to see if others have had this experience, and how they handled the question and got their footing back. Wed, 4 Jul 2012 17:30:24 EST Lucky Number 7 http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x55589x48211871 Hey there, guys. My name is Kristin, and I've been unemployed for a month now.

I graduated with my BFA in Game Art & Design over a year ago. The only job I was able to find was working at a local Office Depot. The manager refused to give me full-time hours (therefor, no benefits), paid me minimum wage (despite my degree - which included design skills and program knowledge that I used daily in Office Depot), and forced me to cover the entire store's duties by myself rather than put... I just want to say a huge thank you for the support that you so unselfishly gave me in this time of my life! Unemployment is just not easy in any way and sure was hard emotionally! I know I haven't been apart of this team for long, but I have been unemployed for 8 months. I have been offered a position and I have taken it! I will be moving from Washington State to Alaska for this position, and I am pretty excited/scared/sad/happy about it! Anyways, I wish you all luck in following... After being unemployed for over a year, I finally got a part time job at a daycare. I am hoping to get a full time job again one day. I am 26 and I have not recovered from being let go. I am hopeful that getting back in shape will help me get my self image back. Sat, 10 Mar 2012 20:39:33 EST Rejection Letters! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x55589x46765688 I could wall paper my apartment with the number of rejection letters I have received, but I no longer have the apartment nor do I keep the letters.

I received one today from a Hospitality company I applied at the beginning of this month. Kudos to them for getting back to me at all ~ it is more then most companies go these days ~ but when I realized that had I gotten the job, I would have had to move to Fargo North Dakota, I was not too disappointed.

Don't misunderstand,... Sat, 25 Feb 2012 18:09:58 EST HI! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x55589x46732615 Hey Ali and potential unemployed Sparkers! My name is Nikki! I just completed an internship in New Hampshire at the end of August 2011 and moved to Washington State to be closer to my family. I moved in with my mom until I can find a job. I am 25 and being unemployed just really makes me emotionally unstable, but I am doing all I can to keep my head up. Focusing on my fitness and calorie intake is the only thing I can control and makes me feel amazing!
