One month ago I was happy about having lost 8 pounds for my wedding. Now, not only have I gained again those 8 pounds but added 6 more. Why, you ask me? well, as for sure many of you have experienced, I am a victim of Yo-yo dieting. I find myself avoiding some foods and exercising regularly during a couple of months and, as soon as I see results, instead of keeping up the good work I go back to my old habits and even indulge into some serious Binge eating. It is not until I ... Tue, 14 May 2013 15:03:03 EST Keeping it going ... http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x54344x52959882 Anyone else continuing with these videos, even once the Challenge has been met?
I love these little videos. I tack one on at the end of my 30+ minute cardio 4 days per week, before work. It is just enough to do SOMETHING, but not overwhelming. Then I try to use the weight machines at the gym on my 2 days off. I feel much stronger, and notice some muscle definition that has been lacking in years past.

This has been a great challenge for me! Thanks Coach Nicole! In addition, it's become a way of life that provides me with energy so I try to incorporate exercise routines to help me out of slumps, such as winter hibernation! I have been in the challenge because I am going to Mexico and think it would be cool to win that kindle. 43 Tue, 29 Jan 2013 01:07:20 EST My Long Term Goals! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=22109x54344x51866212 I have been thinking about a lot of things and especially what will I do after this January Challenge ends! It was over 60 degrees here in Indiana today, which was amazing! Took my two little boys to the park, but instead of driving, opted to walk. It ended up being only a mile round trip, but it was enough to get me ready for the afternoon and wipe them out for nap time. :)
Ate a little bit more than I had been this week, since I've been trying to stay toward the bottom part of the caloric range, but I still managed to stay in the acceptable range. I did some cardio yesterday and realized just how out of shape I am. I could not keep up with one of the cardio routines from Sparkpeople and so I went to my x-box and did about 15 min on it. But I can't do much longer than that at any one time. Before December I was walking up to 5 miles a day at a pace of 3 mph. And I'm thinking that really isn't a great speed. I've done a lot of "diets" in the past, but this is first time that I've approached it this way. I'm not dieting this time, just limiting portions. Since I tend to overeat out of boredom, I've taken up some hobbies to keep my mind off of eating.
